Kate I love this video and your new handbag. I have had zero issues purchasing brand new from Chanel but you are not exaggerating when you say you can walk in a boutique and see a handbag with flaws. My issue is, why are folks leaving the store with a defective product and then complaining about it? In what world does that make sense? I love the pre-loved market even though the prices are sky rocketing. So many people buy and never use or are afraid to use their handbag so they sell to resellers. Beautiful bag, and the SHW makes it easier to use it during the day too without making it too dressy. I have the same in lamb skin. Black looks great on you and but you are so beautiful that I honestly think you will look great in any color.

Yes, I prefer wearing black or gray most of the time. I have very few colorful items in my wardrobe that aren’t oversized tshirts. I love the black bag with the silver hardware, definitely would be my preference as well.

So, I wear a decent amount of black, but I'm more of a cream/white kind of lady when we're talking naturals. For color-color, my default is pink, but softer or warmer pinks as opposed to hot and neon pinks. When we start getting into stronger colors in general is when I personally get nervous because I have a harder time styling for those.

Black and white/cream is a classy combination. Color in my wardrobe creates stress and anxiety for me. I recently sold all the colored items I own. Now When I walk into my closet I smile & breathe 🎉 I only purchased some colored items bcoz they were trending-silly me!

Most of my purchases from them usually come from Carlsbad, and whoever packs shipments from there do not skimp on the confetti 😂😂😂

I wear black most of the time. I mix in white (usually tees) and red is my pop of color. I don’t like a lot of colors. I am a silver hardware girl as well. The only gold hardware I love is Hermes. All of my other bags are silver hardware. ❤

Beautiful choice! I purchased that same combo in the fall of 2021 before the second price increase that year. Ironically, the strap was squeaky (when walking with it on the shoulder--long strap), and there was something off about the outer flap (it protruded a lot, compared to my other medium CFs). Needless to say, I returned it (was bummed), but I actually was looking for the small black with silver hw (feel like it's better for all occasions). The silver hw is better than gold (and my preference), since it looks better with casual outfits and day to day. Gold is a tad flashy and a bit too formal for daily use. 😅 As for the store experience, it's never been a fabulous experience (rarely I have gotten water!). I'm sure it was better pre-COVID, but I didn't actually start liking Chanel until fall of 2019. The Rue Cambon store wasn't even a great experience, the line was long, stock very limited, and the SA wasn't even really nice or helpful until I said I was purchasing something. Then she of course brought out coffee/soda/water for my daughter and I. I think maybe chocolates too, can't recall. It's a shame they did a massive price increase a few days after in Europe (so the prices are not as great anymore), and then again in the states this past March. The boutique experience is gone, so don't feel bad--it was gone before I started shopping there. ☹️

Get an insert from Samorga, it will hold the shape up. I got a thick one for my Chanel chevron surpique bag which is equivalent to the Chanel medium flap and it fits perfectly and shapes the bag nicely.

I think that bag is AMAZING it’s such a cooler vibe black with black interior and silver hardware, stunning. I quit buying new Chanel 3 yrs ago, the quality for price is a no. I have a mini rectangle with not 1, not 2 but 3 stitching issues in 2 months. I swore then, never again. Older Chanel is way better, way. I don’t think Chanel will ever get their quality where it should be as long as ppl keep buying.

Yup! They sold black with black interior on the medium caviar flaps in 2010 (and some other years too I believe) 😊 Small classic flaps can also have the burgundy interior.
