Cristalle Eau Verte is my favourite Chanel fragrance, it’s wonderful to wear in the Summer. I understand it’s not very popular, so I’m glad it’s not being discontinued completely. Thank you for the warning Dacob. 🙂👍

Sad about No19. It was the first fragrance I bought for myself. It was the rectangular Gray and Gold 100ml Eau de Parfum refillable bottle. It made me feel glamorous and taken seriously. Happy memories.

I noticed that when a company announces a discontinuation of something it kinda looks a bit gimmicky. You might be understanding the reasons for that, but on the back of your mind you'd have that annoying suspicion that you are being manipulated into a panicky FOMO. It would be too unsophisticated for Chanel to engage into this kind of overstock inventory management...

Thanks for the heads up Dacob. My bottle is from 2015 and it was still lovely and modern . Chanel is so strange, for awhile they stopped carrying the 100 ml of the original edt. I just checked and it's back. Lol, not that I will stock up, it's got a disgusting cigarette smoke component in it's dry down now. Good to also know that your 10 year old bottle has held up. I don't know what Chanel does, but these fragrances seem to age very well over the decades. The top notes don't seem to dissipate and they become richer. Xoxo!

Deathbecomesher Yes, I was excited to see a tester of the original in the airport recently, I sprayed it and it smelled of cigarettes I was so disappointed and also really confused!

In France, you can still get Cristalle EV and all the N°19s at the likes of Sephora or Marionnaud. Granted, there are very few bottles (usually 1 or 2) and always on the bottom shelf :-/

Dacob, thanks for the word up.! I will be visiting the Chanel Boutique in my area The time to stock up is now and I thank you for the alert. I will test Christelle, sounds like a classic. I am comforted to know i will be able to to purchase the Chanel 19 parfume or soap which is no longer available in the the Hudson Bay Department Stores in the Vanxouver BC, Canada area department stores.i am excited because the Chanel Boutique has been recently moved to the interior of Holt Renfrew Department store and its all been recently renovated. Before Chanel moves in.

I have discovered this channel today in my search for information about chanel 19 and cristalle edt. I am enjoying your thoughtful and intelligent reviews! I am wondering if cristalle edt is being discontinued? It is on backorder on the chanel website. I emailed chanel through the contact given on their website, asking if it is going to be discontinued. In their reply they said that it hadn't been communicated to them that cristalle edt is being discontinued. Has anyone backordered a fragrance before from chanel, and how long did it take to receive? I wonder if No 19 will have the same fate as No 22 (and others) and eventually become part of the Les Exclusifs or if it will remain available in its current packaging and formulations and just be a boutique and online exclusive. I feel like No 19 is too special to be on the dusty bottom shelves in duty free shops and it would be better suited as an exclusif/exclusive. 💚

Hey Dacob! 👋🙂 I have half a bottle of Cristalle eau verte 50 ml and I unfortunately stopped liking it as much as I used to. I don't know exactly the reason, maybe my skin chemistry changed and it doesn't please me as much 🤷‍♀️ I was thinking to sell it instead of having it standing there lonely, but do you think it would be wiser to keep it for the future and sell it later as a vintage maybe? In that case, would its value increase or do you think it's not likely?

Well, "another one bites the dust", so to speak.. I can't pretend to understand why this happens, but I would suspect it is all about what is economically viable, and what isn't. Anyway, thankyou so much for letting us know. I checked and I am able to get a 100ml at my local, so "phew". I also saw no19 soap in the "clearance" area ( though same market price), I know thats where gorgeous products go to die...just seemed sad, or even vulgar in a way... OK then: I rewatched your "Cristalle Eau Verte" Review and remembered the green Crystal fairytale, and how it was sad how the green crystal had left..felt poignant and sadly ironic. Well, the positive thing is- What does the future hold? Maybe there is something fabulous around the corner! Thankyou for your video ( and warning) Dacob. xx

Of course CHANEL sells it online. Have you not listened to my video? CHANEL itself will produce it as their own exclusive. For now you can still buy leftovers on external sites that have stock left.
