I had so much hope in God when my child was dying of cancer. I prayed all the time - your will be done. I hoped and knew God had my child in his arms. God answered my prayers as he took my son on Christmas day 2 years ago and his brother who he wanted to be around who never was -was there with his family. He died while we all prayed the divine mercy chaplet. What a Christmas miracle!

Same here. I had to rewind it and let it sink. Then he said that "hope is the desire for heaven and the confident expectation of getting to heaven and getting all the graces we need to get there". Advent, a time of desiring Heaven and confidently expecting to get to Heaven; and a time of getting the graces we need to get to Heaven, confidently expecting to receive Heaven into our souls at Christmas. Heaven, the ultimate gift which Christmas represents. Come Lord Jesus, bring us to Heaven. Amen

I used to be depressed during Christmas season, until I actually understood what Christmas is about ❤. I still get depressed whenever I listen to Michael Bublé and Mariah Carey, but for other reasons lol.

Ah, Fr. Columba! You’re speaking my language yet again! I’ve been praying daily Acts of Faith, Hope, and Love. And lately the Act of Hope has become so much more tangible and real to me! Just like you said: He’s a good God and He’ll give us everything we need-all the graces necessary-for our salvation. He is a Father Who keeps His promises! 😮 Unfortunately it's a language problem. In French we have 2 words. "Espérance" has a spiritual connotation more advent, more hope in heaven, in Jesus return And "Espoir" is more lay, a wish.
