Great video!! The images at 4:16, 5:05, 7:22, and 7:46 have since been updated. Reid's Foods downtown on Washington and Publix are also considered downtown grocers. The Unity Park downtown Greenville is very beautiful and I'm excited about the 125 Foot Honor Tower!

I guess I'm glad you all are excited about the growth, but we came here from the Atlanta area in 2015. The great downtown area and slower pace were a godsend then. It's now getting too big and crowded and feeling a lot like the Atlanta suburbs. The condition of the roads is horrible and the poor traffic flow shows there is only reactionary planning; too little too late. Traffic is rapidy getting worse. Hopefully someone who is excited about the massive growth will buy our home for a premium price when we are ready to leave and find our next small Greenville.

So many people in South Carolina Criticize the North Specially New York, and now SC is getting all there ideas from New Yorkers!!! 😊 I Wonder why is that ! The Southerners are still LAY BACK and LAZY PEOPLE , and the IMMIGRANTS want to work for less and the SOUTHERNERS don't want them in the SOUTH !!! The IMMIGRANTS work hard for their money!!! The SOUTH still has a lot to LEARN and the NORTHERNS must EDUCATE THE SOUTH 😊

Us too. I miss the old slower pace downtown. I moved to Greenville to get away from all the traffic and craziness. The amount of development going on is absolutely insane. Around our house, every tree has been bulldozed and it's nothing but expansive suburbs and construction. Traffic is getting horrible because infrastructure wasn't considered during this expansion.

I'm originally from Pickens, and recently moved from Anderson to east TN (temporarily) to live with my parents until I can find my next job in Anderson (hopefully). I hope that a light rail system is in the planning stages for Greenville and the rest of The Upstate in general. Having one would drastically help reduce traffic jams on the interstates, especially at rush hour. As Americans, we need to start thinking differently about transportation. We don't necessarily have to get rid of our cars, but it would be nice to have more transportation options than just driving everywhere.

Huh, I helped lay the sewer and grease pits for Bridgeway Station. Had no idea what they were building though since we do our thing so early in the building phases. That job has been going for quite a while and recently they seem to have made a lot of progress!

Northern influx brings with it these kind of improvements and amenities. Transplants seek to re- create familiar space utilization and patterns they've grown familiar with. Open space, landscaped parks, the Rabbit trial for healthy physical activities and the like. But at some point, this won't likely matter. Won't matter because at some point population growth and continuous development will offset these desires and improvements.

I’m looking forward to moving to Greenville-area later this year - but thank goodness for Unity Park, otherwise it seems that a lot of the development revolves around shopping and restaurants. Travelers Rest, Pendleton and……looking better and better.

Been here all my life and those of us who are native from this area dont want anymore people. The city and state want more tax money but we arent ready for this kind of growth. Rent used to be $700 for a 3 bedroom appartment and now its $1,200 outside city anf up to $1,800 in city. We have signed petitions to stop home building and the city continues to allow more building. Another thing is that not a single person living here seems to be able to drive. Stay off the road if you cant drive.

Smart planning is good. Otherwise you end up like Florida with endless sprawl and 7500 home neighborhoods with traffic all flowing on to one road built 80 years ago.

One of the higher rated job economies in the US especially in engineering and related fields (basically who the big corps like Michelin and BMW are hiring). You'll more likely get a job in your field here than another city with the same population and amount of open positions

District 356 is just a big overpriced apartment building. That’s it. No bars, no restaurants. This KZbinr is only trying to fluff up what is not to make money on you coming into the Greenville area and leaving. Also, there is no thriving downtown Taylor’s as he had previously stated.
