I know that spending the entire day building is probably not most people's version of an ideal wedding anniversary but let's be honest...we're not exactly living the most traditional life as it is lol. The true gift is no longer stressing about hurricane season coming up and taking out our solar panels so thanks again to all of you who leave suggestions week after week. Obviously it's impossible to implement every one we read but it really gets our hamster wheel churning and makes our home here better. Also, when I was editing this week's video I kept cracking up at how many funny one-liners Todd had, hope you enjoyed all the funny bits I left in. Have a wonderful week and we'll see you Sunday!

This video reminds me of when Terry and I were building our cabin at the lake many of years ago and then Terry talking about remodeled our cabin at the lake and Terry wanted to remodel the kitchen and our master bedroom because our 20th wedding anniversary was coming up and when I called to talk with my parents and tell my dad that we were going up to the cabin at the lake in a couple of weekends; my parents told me that we couldn't go up to cabin that weekend because Terry's parents was going to have a party up at the cabin for their friends from their church on that Saturday and we would have to wait until Sunday morning to go up there, which was our 20th wedding anniversary anyway. We drove up to the lake cabin that Sunday morning both of our parents were sitting on the front porch and waving at us and I seen new shrubs in front of the porch in the flower beds along the front porch and front parts of the cabin. We walked into the cabin and seen the living room, den, dining room and kitchen had been completed remodeled and walked down the hall and seen all 4 of the bed roooms, 2 bath rooms and our master bedroom and bath completed remodeled. I busted up crying and both of our parents telling us "Happy 20th Anniversary to the greatest sons on earth" and then to find out it didn't cost our parents that much money either; all the labor was friends from our church that we both grew up in as boys and still attended church at times. Happy Wedding Anniversary Tyler and Todd and wishing you both many more blessed and joyious anniversaries to follow too! Love your videos and keep them a coming too!

@@tylerandtodd I wish I could upload pictures of our coffee table and end table. We live in Mexico and there is a wood here called parota. It is beautiful. Our coffee table and end table are made out of slabs of parota, very rough cut but we love them. Very Mexican. When I saw the round piece I totally saw tables similar to ours. Of course ours sit on exquisite wrought iron frames which you can find throughout Mexico. But knowing how creative you two are I am sure you could come up with something amazing.

The dome looks … awesome! I was wondering why you haven’t cut out the insulation around the porthole windows? Have you considered asking the manufacturer if they could fabricate a windows panel with an actual working window to let in fresh air?
@Ana-oc5ip2 жыл бұрын
oh yeah that would be so cool
@dorothygale11042 жыл бұрын
It is much easier to vent in fresh air. Putting in a window requires building a structure around it rigid enough to stand the opening and closing. If it flexes enough to make it even a slight bit off square, the window either wouldn’t open or be difficult to open. Given the dome isn’t their permanent living quarters, trying to put in a window would be more work and expense than it is worth.
