Thank you Anna I am taking a train back to where the "relgious abuse: began in Vallejo, CA. I am 65 this year and it has taken a lifetime to get to this point. I put "honesty" at the top for me to be okay with being more honest. Getting to the root of why I feel a need to exagerate what I have done or doing. I was called lazy all of my life because I enjoy wrting and reading and am very active but not a 9-5 person.

Ugh. You hate when you work on yourself a bunch and then you find yet ANOTHER thing you need to stop making excuses about and get to work on and you're like "but I'm tired and I don't wanna!" but you can see it's holding you back and you have to do it anyway? Yeah. It sucks. But it has to stop and you're the only one who can stop it. Nobody else can do it for you. Ugh. Welp, time to buy a new journal, label it with "neglecting myself" and get to work. Whatever your method is, I wish you luck. It's going to be hard sometimes, and it's worth it. You're going to face set backs, fail, cry, fall apart, and then try again. And your worth the effort. I'm writing this to myself and to whoever needs to hear this. We are worth it. We always were. I love you.

This made so much sense. When a trigger would happen my internal reaction was so intensely and bizarrely sky-high it was crazy! I have expressive face, so could never hide it, and it was always something silly like someone giggling or laughing and me assuming it was about me. Always getting higher and higher, definately disregulated! I feel like now, if I recognize that happening as it occurs, I have a better chance of calming those emotions down and back to somewhat normal. It still happens, BUT not nearly as frequently. Every day is a single step, keep trying and you'll get to calm.

Yes,,,,YES. I can totally tell when a guy uses porn. They don't make eye contact, they are usually very cold, distant, awkward, not romantic, boring energy, really obvious. Not deep, apathetic, depressed. I, as a nurse used to "help" them to recovery. NO MORE. here is a link to help, you have my pryers, and goodbye.
@Marlena5227
@Marlena5227 8 ай бұрын
My husband's use of porn damaged our marriage. Desire was for him to control. He had CPTSD and didn't know it. His was more pronounced than mine. He couldn't handle any intimacy and had trouble with trust. He became more insensitive and crass with porn use -- all print media. His behaviors in business and sense of professionalism was good. Structure and rules held him in place. It was like Dr Jekyl and Mr Hide. As I began to change and get healing, he looked at himself and our relationship differently. He really didn't like what he was doing to himself but needed professional help to understand a better way of living. This is additionally tough to overcome in today's culture. Morals are all but gone and accessibility of porn is rampant. Ads are explicit and prolific featuring sexual attitudes. One must exercise choices and pass on certain stuff.
@Marlena5227
@Marlena5227 8 ай бұрын
@-sidjfd Who are you addressing? Is this a diagnosis? For whom? There is obsessive compulsive behavior that leads to greater issues of unhealth. Mood altering can be done through self- medication or sexual activity that only adds to the problem. Intimacy is built on trust with a sustained level of caring. When this bonding process is disrupted, only understanding, modeling, and respectful boundary lines over time begin to change behavior. This indicates the need for a trained professional. It's a positive and truthful human interaction that validates a person's life. Cognitive issues born of bi-bolarism, for example, have specific remedies beyond issues of behavior. We are complicated humans.
