received my kit the other day. What I received didn't have the ability to suck the dust from underneath the saw, but customer service at Inspire Woodcraft said it isn't necessary. Is that true?
@InspireWoodcraftАй бұрын
@stevetaylor4602 Depends on what saw you are outfitting. The only saws that need vacuum assist are sliding saws because the saw head, and the dust shoot, moves away from the rear of the throat plate when you cut. The non-slider saws don’t need it because the “dust shoot” never moves from the one place. So the dust just flys into the shoot naturally.

I just received my dust collection system from you in the mail yesterday. I installed it this morning. Mine did not have the adapter you are showing, so I was unable to connect the smaller plastic part you are holding to my Dewalt table saw. I had to jury rig the old dust bag collar and use some E-6000 to get it all to fit together, but it's functional now. I love the design, but I hate these oddball sizes on some of these power tools. Thanks for a great product!! Oh, I have the Dewalt DWS779 miter saw.

@soujrnr The sleeve should have been preinstalled into the vac adapter! If you think it would help and you need it, please let me know and I will send one out to you. Completely agree! I don't know how hose and accessory sizes haven't been standardized by now.

I just bought the DW s780 and haven't tried it yet. Your links were a bit unclear, numerous products showing up for different models and different saws. How much is a complete setup for my DWS780? Looks like most of those links were around 50 bucks? What do I need to buy/add to the system to incorporate your product? How far backed up are you/as of today, what is the probable delivery wait time? Great job being so innovative and original!
@InspireWoodcraft2 ай бұрын
@musicbymark Oh man! I've worked really hard to organize everything on the website so that it's easily searchable and easy to come back to. I might have to revisit my layout! At any rate, the kit for the DWS780 is the first thing you see when you go on the website, and I believe it is linked below in this videos description as well. Either way, here's a direct link as well. inspirewoodcraft.com/products/dewalt-dws779-780-dust-collection-upgrade-kit As of typing this I am around 1-2 weeks out to ship. Everything you need in order to be up and running is included in the kit, but we do not supply the behind-the-blade dust attachments as of right now. For that, I recommend looking at Benchtop Woodworks and Shop Nation.

You happen to have anything in the works for the Gen 2 flexvolt saw?
@peterkappelhof151Ай бұрын
This is a great solution. Any chance you might develop a similar solution for the Bosch Axial Glide GCM12SD? Earlier this year I purchased and installed the dust chute for the saw made by Shop Nation and really like it. I added an elbow with a female Bosch Quick Connect on one end to accept a standard Bosch hose. I had that custom made by John at Krayft on ETSY. He now offers them standard on his ETSY site. Your dust collection throat plate would be a great addition to the dust collection on my saw.

Awesome job. Once you get head deep into it, don’t forget there many friends that have larger print farms than you, maybe they can help take care of orders above 2 a day until you are fully up for it, but don’t forget, that demand for this will slow. Btw. Dw779 does have at least one really important recall notice on it. They just send you replacement parts. I just got mine. Broke first time using it. It was made 4 yrs ago. Bought brand new two months ago from Lowe’s. No clue issues until another channel mentioned it about a different product
@InspireWoodcraft2 ай бұрын
@aaronblackford981 Yes some of them have a recall on the rear guard. Interestingly enough though, some folks have had the new part sent to them and it just the same part as the one that was recalled. Very strange. I have looked into having them printed elsewhere, but the cost has not been worth it so far. I make more than two a day. Probably average about 5 or so. So far, so good. I just need to get a few more printers.
@aaronblackford9812 ай бұрын
@@InspireWoodcraft interesting. I am still dealing with them on the recall or trying to as the recalled part broke something else, aka, lower blade guard into my my face but I am just trying to get them to send me replacement for the lower guard

You make comment several times of an “aftermarket” dust collection part that is attached to the saw itself. Your throat plate system would then attach to that aftermarket part. I’ve looked on the web site, through the comments on this video but have not found any reference to this aftermarket part. Would really like to place an order but it seems I’m missing a part you do not offer. Could you please advise us what to do or buy ?
@InspireWoodcraft2 ай бұрын
@johnedwards6939 I recommend checking out Shop Nation and Benchtop Woodworks for the behind-the-blade unit. Thise are the two most popular on the market right now. The kit that I offer is essentially complimenting those units. Hope that helps!

@timothywhite6532 I'm still trying to get to the bottom of this. I need to get one in the shop to figure it out, I think. It turns out there are basically three versions of the plastic trough under there. If it could easily be removed, that would solve everything. But that doesn't seem to be an option either.
@timothywhite65322 ай бұрын
@@InspireWoodcraftWhen I first realized it wouldn't fit I thought I would simply grind down the offending protrusion. If I'm able to get to that any time soon, I'll document it & report back to you.

@timothywhite6532 I’m not even joking, but yesterday I talked to a customer that said they “took out three screws and cut the rest out with garden shears”. 😆 I’m waiting to hear back from her for more information. My thought was also to just use the blade to grind down the rectangle block in there. But I don’t know how well it fits after you do that. Apparently removal is the way to go.

@Personalized_Workshop I'm alive! Ha! I use the propane to burn away any hairs or stringing on 3D printed parts. It also helps smooth over and blend any place where I might need to file or shape something. And I use it to get rid of white stress marks that form on the bottom of prints.

Also higher cost to make if he made full throat which would be best overall but no one prints at 100% infill if you even can with any equipment, which would cause drag unknown as all prints just has the small failure somewhere. Doesn’t effect the look but add dust and vacuum. This complicated problem to fix becomes complex.
@InspireWoodcraft2 ай бұрын
@domenicprinzivalli8318 It already has zero-clearance built in! There is a recess on the top side that accepts PVC zero-clearance tape from FastCap. (One piece is sent in each kit.) Then you can replace the zero-clearance as necessary. If I made it solid so that people could cut their own slot, then when it wore out, they would have to buy a whole new kit.
@InspireWoodcraft2 ай бұрын
@SilverFox-1212 Most woodworkers don't use the bevel on their saws so it's mostly a non-issue. And if they do need it for some reason, they can just swap it out with the factory plate easily enough.
