For comparison the double double it’s a E in men’s and H in woman’s

@@mrparts Transitioning out of it is more difficult though, because you have to control the twisting motion. I'd be okay with them having some kind of special 0.1 connection bonus when connected with higher-value skills, but having their actual value remain the same as the non-twisting version.

I hate how much WAG tries to influence what skills are preformed and how routines are constructed. In MAG they don’t do this and there is still creativity and originality without changing the difficulty of skills/connections just because they don’t like the aesthetic. I'm a bit relieved that they didn't completely overhaul the code again, tbh. Most of these seem like small-ish changes that will lead to slightly different routine construction but nothing too drastic. I'm glad they left the vault values alone and are throwing the gymnasts a bone on FX with increased CV for a chance at scoring higher. FX has been miserable the last 2 quads and was the one area I think they could have done some more recalibrating to bring score more in line with the other events.

The increased CV just make floor more mediocre than before, while still keeping floor as the lowest scoring event. It doesn't encourage more difficult CV (A+F, C+F) like bars. Instead, there will be million 2.5 twist punch and compulsory CD indirect connections.

She doesn't care about creativity or vertuosity at all, only about an ideal of "perfection" that is based more in how drawings of the skill look than in how actual bodies achieve it. I really, really hate the Donatella philosophy of gymnastics, it is slowly strangling the sport for me.

FIG (and fans) love the idea of nerfing floor, and this code is perfect to make up the difficulty by million standard direct DB and indirect CD connections.

So like a handspring front full twist and a yurchenko half on front half off eouldbt receive the bonus, but a handspring front full and a tsukahara back double twist would.

The sport is dead. Without Simone buzz, it won't matter. The routines will all be very similar and bars will be the most exciting event to watch, sadly. I hope the COP will be COMPLETELY revamped, recalibrated, and make all 4 events actually equal. That's what made the sport fun. When you had the 10 system, at least you knew all 4 events were equal or had the opportunity to be equal.

It's more that the judges aren't able to acurately tell if the turn has been initiated in the air or not (many gymnasts just cross their arms and let the bar turn them--but judges have been so overzealous in cracking down, that they are penalizing gymnasts who should have their skill counted).

Chinese gymnasts are very inconsistent on bars, so the code does very little in the end. It may benefit gymnasts trained in Europe because they are generally good on bars while not trading consistency.

Thank you for making this! I am disappointed in this code, especially on floor. Why would u make the Double arabian 1/2s an E rating?! And C+D .2 CV, really?! Also practically every Vault specialist is doing Cheng + DTY other than Simone bc she’s the GOAT lol so why give .2 Bonus?! And random elements being downgraded, like that ring jump 1/1 by Jurkowska shouldn’t have the same value as a split jump 1/1. The 1/2 turn releases aren’t fun to watch though they are quite difficult and I think it’s slightly unfair for them to get the same value as their regular version but oh well. On a positive side, at least the double lay 1/1 off bars is an F, gives more incentive to perform now.

I'm glad that the added half turn to the Jaeger-type skills will no longer be rewarded. I find many of those skills quite messy-looking. I much prefer regular Jaegers performed to perfection.

Ninguno de estos cambios benefician a las estadounidenses. La mayoria de gimnastas tienen una composicion similar a USA, como Rebeca, quien literalmente tiene los mismos elementos acrobaticos en suelo que Jordan. Igual que Sabrina Voinea, las unicas afectadas por estos cambios son las especialistas en barras asimetricas, y literalmente en el video ves como Shilese Jones de USA tambien se ve afectada por este cambio Si quisieran beneficiar a USA, quitarian las deducciones artisticas (lo que mejoraria el suelo de Biles y Jade Carey por 3-5 decimas) o le darian el valor correcto a su desmonte en la viga de equilibrio. La FIG le dio al "Biles" un valor de "H" cuando deberia ser "J", porque lo consideraban muy peligroso.
