Guess disc is not available in smaller harps like juno 27

You are correct. These are pedal harp discs and only found on large pedal harps.

Hey! Great video, this series is incredibly helpful. I just got the spare disk but I'm not sure that it's the right one: are the two disc rows the same dimensions? How can you tell from the piece? (It looks similar to the one i have to change but idk). Thanks!

Glad this is helpful! The discs change based on which octave they're in. Usually when you're ordering a disc, you can specify what you need it for. Otherwise, I would compare it to the nearby discs and the disc that it's replacing. Good luck!

Basically is that what they do when they regulate a harp? The things you do yourself right? That would save a lot of money if you can do the regulation.

When they regulate a harp, they adjust all of the discs so that the pitch is exactly a half step when moving between them. They also change the pedal felts, and fix any general problems (frequently buzzes) you might be having. You can read more here: harpherald.com/2009/03/12/what-is-harp-regulation/

As intelligent as you are, you could do all that I'm sure. If I ever had a harp like yours I would learn it too and save a bundle of money. I'm may buy a prelude Lyon and Healy in about 2 yrs from now and then a used pedal one later. I have never seen a pedal harp in person but I probably could play one. Only thing is, that I'm a left shoulder player and I do well even though I'm right handed. I started that way years ago and not about to change. I tried the normal way but cannot keep up on the bass strings. I play left hand trebles and right on bass strings.

That's tricky with the left shoulder playing. I believe that's common in South America, but the problem here, especially with large and heavy pedal harps, is that they're not symmetrical. The neck of the harp sticks out a bit to the right side, so then if it's on your left shoulder, it can be uncomfortable. I'd be sure to try one out before you buy one. Good luck!

Thank you very much. I have played for many years that way . I have tried switching but I cannot manage to keep up in time. I guess I will stick to the way I play. Would the Lyon and Healy prelude be a problem? It looks so much like a pedal harp but smaller.

The Preludes are constructed similarly, but the neck on a lever harp isn't as thick as that of a pedal harp, so I think it would definitely work better for playing on the left shoulder.
