Hey Curtis from the video after your vacuum was completed u released the charge into the system. I would close the check valve on the vacuum pump first so the oil won’t go back into your hoses. Hopefully your check valve isn’t going bad on that vacuum pump. Im definitely considering getting that same brand

I had one of them Milwaukee pumps. They’re junk either go to straight electric one or maybe try a different Milwaukee one I went through three of them under warranty and I just said hell with it. I sold her to a buddy of mine and he can deal with the war Plug-in from Harbor freight it works absolutely flawless. You’re not supposed to get oil in your hoses.

I am concerned about the oil that came out of the compressor. How do you know if you have enough, or too much oil in the system when you replace the compressor?
@moshemoshe-yy8hj4 ай бұрын
Oil in compressor mean that this is a used compressor it was the return
@patrickinottawa274 ай бұрын
@@moshemoshe-yy8hj The oil was coming out of the brand new replacement. Curtis said it has been upright the whole time he's had it and he couldn't understand why the oil was coming out. All compressors contain oil.
@tombonini73934 ай бұрын
I bet that some idiot had stored that compressor upside down for an extended period of time before Curtis got it. That oil does not go back into the lower chamber all that fast and I bet the system is now low on oil.
@patrickinottawa274 ай бұрын
@@tombonini7393 Sometimes it's hard to tell on video how much oil the compressor actually lost. Curtis didn't seem concerned by it. I assume the new compressor has a warranty.
@tombonini73934 ай бұрын
@@patrickinottawa27 I agree but you could see that it lost quite a bit. I would say that the entire upper chamber was pretty much full of oil and it simply doesn't drain back. I didn't say that it was out of oil, only that it would be low and the warranty doesn't usually cover issues due to oil starvation.
@cengeb4 ай бұрын
all that oil that came out from the top, was it sitting upside down previously, never drained back? Now it must be too low a level? Replace again under warranty?

Good job But not good practices. You didn't remove low pressure that was close to brazing point . You didn't flush the whole system prior to fix the compressor. We in gulf do better with less equipment and in extreme temperatures !
@emilhwilkins32754 ай бұрын
Why wouldn't you change the O-rings more often so you don't have leaks this makes for a more professional service call, maintaining your equipment is important., I was a field service tech/engineer for 30 years. You seem more distracted lately because of your videos or you just have to much work to handle.

Very busy lately. Like today I had this call, and 6 more. Sometimes maintenance has to take a back seat.
@kennymayo45784 ай бұрын
@@HVACGUY you need to do a video on how much work you do in a days time and how you keep up with all the quickbooks, invoicing, scheduling, runs to the parts house, I probably only do half the calls you do and the paperwork is an enormous time consuming task I've yet to simplify
@jw82924 ай бұрын
@@HVACGUY Don't do that. I know it's difficult when you have jobs pending, but take the time to take care of your equipment. Different industry, but I used to work for a guy that wouldn't stop to fix anything until it totally blew up.....instead of taking a planned day for maintenance and repairs, we spent far more time repeatedly applying band aids, and would then be completely dead in the water for days when whatever it was finally died, and we had to wait on parts......or an engine to be rebuilt.
