I’ve had luck getting a blind race out by using a flat punch on the top of one edge and just smacking it with a hammer. The race will usually tilt up so you can grab it with a hook or pry it out. Great video, very informative.

That's a good tip I'll have to try that.

This was an informative class, thanks, @ 4:30 of the start that pully that you used, what company and name of if, or were to buy it?
@AlwaysBored1233 жыл бұрын
That was a "Pittsburgh" brand 12 ton hydraulic gear puller I bought at Harbor Freight several years ago. You could do with a much smaller puller for this job but that was what I had handy.

good job, man. I would like to know if it is correct, the axial play that you showed before the disassembly.
@AlwaysBored1232 жыл бұрын
No. There should be no detectable axial or radial play. That being said tapered roller bearings are pretty forgiving and will run on for a long time before they actually fail catastrophically.

@@AlwaysBored123 Okay. Thanks friend. I tell you, here at my work in Trujillo, Peru, this skid steer loader is a case model 444 series from 1997, and in Peru it is very difficult to find spare parts for this machine, and repairs have been carried out according to human criteria and not according to the manufacturer's specifications. For this reason, I was looking for something that would tell me that this game, despite having replaced the shooting, persisted, and quite a lot. To begin with, we have the shoots, but not that deflector that is housed behind the runway, and I think that's where my problem lies.
@AlwaysBored1232 жыл бұрын
@@ronalderickcardenasvaldez9828 Yes if you are missing certain parts it may be impossible to get the assembly tight like it should be. www.mycnhistore.com/us/en/casece/na/cn/NA Should have parts diagrams for your machine so you can compare and see what's going on.

About how many hours did the job take? JD is telling me it is 18-20 hours for their mechanic.
@AlwaysBored123 Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure exactly. Maybe 3 or 5 hours? Definitely nowhere near 18-20.

Does the inner bearing press on or does it just sit in the race
@AlwaysBored1233 ай бұрын
IIRC it just slides onto the shaft.

How much is this type of job labor wise? I need this done in my John Deere but trying to see if I should do it or send it to someone
@AlwaysBored12310 ай бұрын
Tbh I don't know. I would expect to pay anywhere from $80-$250/hour for labor just depending but idk how many hours they would bill. This is a relatively simple job that's relatively labor intensive so if you can do it yourself you should.
@JM-yx1lm8 ай бұрын
About $400 labor at my shop
