I could not have done this without your help, But there is a problem the lights do not turn off when the door closes🧐, if you push in the the door light activation thing it just remains on.

That could be a problem with the door switch. If the “door open” chime rings also after several minutes , I’d check the switch operation. Unfortunately I’m not familiar with the circuit details.

@@danhilsdorf23 no alarm, I’m just going to run with 1 light that’s sufficient & doesn’t overheat due to being refrigerated, if it lasts it’s 15000 hours that’s 625 days then I would swap it with the other one I purchased, if the fridge lasts that long ? It’s now 14 years old.

I still can't figure out how to remove that plastic cover off. It just won't come out!
@myfriend577 ай бұрын
It might help to squeeze it on the long sides together. This will bend it inwards, releasing the clips on those sides. Then it will be somewhat looser, and I believe you’ll find your way. I found that out after I finally got it off.

When the lightbulb is in the fridge light for a long time. The heat will eventually melt the plastic. As a 60W incandescent bulb would obviously get extremely hot when on. Even if it’s in a fridge or freezer.
