This is exactly why taking positive, constructive ACTION is crucial to achieving and developing a lasting sobriety. It is literally about moving our FEET differently. A person who believes they can "think" their way sober, that the solution is an intellectual matter, is doomed to repeat the same destructive behavior. We have a saying in recovery, "Bring the body, and the mind will follow. Taking action on a regular basis, will eventually re-wire our thinking, but it is a process that takes time.
