Anyone looking to change their name by deedpoll for free you literally just need to copy paste the wording on the government website into a document and edit it so it’s personal to you and your new name and then print and have it signed by 2 people over the age of 18. You might want to sign multiple original copies at once in case you loose them or someone has a copy that needs to be mailed back to you

Yes! There are no boundaries or time limits onn self discovery ✨ it's a long journey and cis people also take a long time doing it just in different ways. It's not even just animals people have no issue gendering correctly, people will literally call made up characters and cartoons the right pronouns lol, that's why I can't take transphobes seriously. This was a very cool and informative video so thank you. I'm going to get my name changed legally very soon and am still apprehensive for some reason even though I know it makes things way less complicated and this has just made me happy to know that if, in a few years, I find a new name that fits perfectly, there's no harm in changing again (even though this one and my new middle name feel most like me right now). I would also like to say thank you for your videos. It's awesome to see someone getting to be their androgynous and genderfluid self, as I would love to be able to do confidently. I keep thinking that I need to pick a side with gender or with sex and that I'll either have to be a man and go on a full dose of testosterone for the rest of my life and get top surgery and a hysterectomy or I'll have to be a woman and won't be able to transition medically at all but it's lovely to see how that isn't the case and I can be androgynous and I can go on testosterone or not and I can have some control over my dose and how long I stay on testosterone for and I can get whatever surgeries feel right and I don't have to conform to silly false dichotomies such as "you have to be a man or a woman". Also, my new name and middle name will be Eddie Mars, so it's also cool to see someone else changing their first name to a shortened and androgynous version of other names and having a space-themed middle name. :)

Yeah it's unfortunately binary too at the moment. I guess cause my passport says Male (as I changed it when I was out a transman) it's legally a gay marriage but that's a slay so I'll go with it 💅🤣 wish there was a nonbinary option though for a gender nonconforming relationship

Hey you probably wont read this lol but its worth a shot. Im trying to change my name and its all so confusing. Im not sure if i need to have an enrolled deed poll as i want to change all my documents (passport, driving license etc) also ive been reading i need to get it signed by solicitor. The enrolled process will be difficult for me as i dont know many people who i know over 10 years and is a homeowner. Wondering if you could advise me on how to do it and use it to renew my passport with the new details 😊

this is so interesting bc i followed this person when i first started transitioning ftm and now that im 3 years detransitioned im watching them do the same.... definitely makes more sense that detransing is harder if you've gone through medical transition. for me it was a mixture of so many things, fetishization of gay men, liking how men were perceived better, not liking how women were perceived by society and therefore how i was perceived, just liking men better in general and being attracted to men so getting that elation when seeing a cute boy in the mirror etc. i can see a lot of similar things going on here. doesnt mean theres anything wrong with that, peace and love

Why would legally changing your name multiple times matter to anyone? Who does it hurt? Nearly half of all people legally change their name when they get married, and half of those marriages end in divorce. If multiple name changes feels like a genuine problem to you, I promise that you know someone who is on their second marriage and does not go by their maiden name OR the name they used throughout their first marriage. Go harass them about it; that scenario occurs exponentially more frequently. The only difference that would impact whether one is a problem while the other is not is simply how much of a bigot you are.

Yeah I guess, I've kinda "thrown myself out of the pan and into the flames" as I started saying recently, I can't pass as cis or straight (especially with the way I express myself) now and I do get some issues that come along with that but at the end of the day I need to be myself and stand strong for me and the community ✨🏳️‍🌈

How do one change the gender mark😢

In the UK (the way I did it) get a gender recognition letter or a written document from a gender specialist saying that you identify with that gender mark and send it off to the passport office. Plus a deed poll if you're changing your name and title. You have to be "living in" your gender for a certain amount of time before the gender specialist may consider writing a letter. Then the passport can be used to change all other forms of ID.
