I discovered your content from the "75 Hard video" and have become truly impressed with your work. Your videos strike an ideal balance between entertainment and information, and your approach is both inviting and humble. I've gained a lot from your content and eagerly await more in the future!

As someone who has struggled with burn-out and toxic productivity, it's been really difficult to take my foot off the accelerator. But little by little, you can wind back and get some of your sanity back. Comparing to others is also a big part of it and I think social media plays a massive part in that. They will always post their victories, never their failures and that can have a knock on effect on your self esteem. Great episode David!

I also think its very important to mention that workoing hard and being disciplined for something bigger than yourself(in your parents case that would be family I assume) is way easier and more motivating than doing it for yourself.

I was listening to a podcast that said it’s important to live life by design being driven solely by emotions. Basically as humans we tend to default to our negative emotions and avoid challenges. Developing a routine is key for maintaining well-being, especially when dealing with mental health challenges (OCD for me). For me, adopting activities like exercise, journaling, and studying, involved embracing a strategy of consistent mediocrity. This helped me build discipline and avoid burning out, and self hate. Sharing my progress on KZbin has been a way to hold myself accountable and track my journey. Historically I had a habit of going too hard, not being able to sustain the Herculean effort, giving up and hating myself. So now I’m trying to give consistent mediocre effort frequently. And it’s crazy how it adds up.

Listened to the podcast this morning on the way to work and I have to say I’ve never relate so heavily to a podcast. The idea of not being disciplined since my disciplined is different to that of my parents is such a relatable experience. Great insight, keep it up!

You’ve cultivated such a positive space through your KZbin videos, which is quite rare to find on the internet. Your videos have such a unique style, and I personally find it impressive how you manage to create such a structured piece of content without any cuts or stutters in your speech. I’ll definitely be taking some inspiration from you to make my own videos. Lastly, I uniquely value your content in that I allow myself to be entirely engrossed into what you’re saying; this is quite rare for me, and because of this, you have earned yourself a new subscriber. (I don’t subscribe to people very often). Keep up the good work!
