This is how to swap springs on a standard centrifugal clutch. This is a max torque clutch. 79cc Predator gas engine swapped power wheels. Increasing the clutch engagement rpm to 2500 rpm.

Needs a 212 for adult but if for kids perfect amount of power

You would want a bigger clutch in the front and a smaller one in the back that way you get more rear sprocket rotation per one front sprocket rotation

The setup you are describing would be great for top end speed but would produce very little torque. A smaller clutch sprocket and larger axle sprocket would increase torque and more power to get moving.

remove the governor and add some performance parts?
@jwsbackyard64132 жыл бұрын
Governor is out and it has intake, exhaust and re jetted. They don’t make a ton parts for the 79cc and I was trying to keep it cheap.

A jackshaft would work right?
@jwsbackyard64132 жыл бұрын
Yeah a jackshaft would work I would just have to weld in some brackets and find space for it which is limited.

@@jwsbackyard6413 oh okay yeah it looks pretty tight in there. Can't wait to see what you build though man

From where can I get this spring? Thanks

I bought this one from go power sports. You can find them on eBay and about any go kart site though like omb warehouse, BMI, etc.

@jwsbackyard64132 жыл бұрын
@@marshallcorona5440 they market them by rpm engagement rather than lb so idk what lb it is.

Just need to change the back sprocket to a 58 teeth
@jwsbackyard6413Ай бұрын
I usually run somewhere between a 60 and 55 tooth but the main issue with running that larger is I constantly bend the sprocket and sprocket hub. That really adds up over time.

Man you need a bigger engine on that

Get rid of slicks...then get rid of crappy 79cc slug

7 to 1 gear rat, go smaller gears i would think maybe 58 teeth, then play with clutch teeth, or stuff a 5 horse in it haha 78 divide 11 is 7 to 1 , get it down to 5 or 4 to 1,
@pigs6072 жыл бұрын
@Skott LeFever yea i guess, jackshaft is the way to go,
