Easily my favorite thing to do is take as many Omniscience as I can, then use one Omniscience to dualcast another one from my deck, rinse and repeat and play ALL THE THINGS. It's so freaking busted.

I love the Watcher, and a stance dancer deck is basically my favorite archetype. Nicely played, especially since you didn't find any good cards to enter Wrath! If you want a bit of a high-level trick, Flurry of Blows only returns if it's in your discard pile. But, if you can use a draw card to roll your draw pile and shuffle your discard *while FoB is your hand*, you'll have FoB for the whole next deck cycle instead of having to find it first.

Great run! You can start to see why draw/scry is so powerful with the watcher, as exiting calm and miracles often give you a surplus of energy, the bottleneck becomes how many cards you can draw. And draw can enable more stance changing, which becomes more energy, and so on. Excited to see you do a run focused on mantra in the future.

Hey Ryan I just want to say I'm very impressed with your gameplay. I haven't quite figured out the Watcher myself yet, and you're getting there so quickly! Not to mention you consistently score higher on Dailies than I do, all the while keeping up S-tier commentary and comedy. It's an amazing viewing experience, and I hope you don't let the weird culture that developed three years ago keep you away.

One easy bit of advice I would give you is that you should be discarding flurry of blows pretty much every time it comes up while scrying. Putting it straight in your discard pile is usually better than having to draw it.

@@olafforkbeard4782 You do miss out on the first play of it, but you also draw another card instead. It depends on the situation. If you have energy to play more cards, it’s oftentimes worth it to pass up the flurry for a card that costs energy instead. Unless you have no energy remaining, it’s often not worth the card draw. As a practical example, think of this scenario. You have three energy and your hand is 3 blocks, 1 strike, and 1 cut through fate or whatever the card is called. No enemy is attacking. You use cut and you have the option of taking Flurry or a Strike. It’s better to discard the flurry and take strike instead since it does more damage and you don’t end your turn with wasted energy or block. But I would say it’s not ALWAYS worth it to discard it with scry. If you have a card that ONLY has scry and does not draw cards, then it’s pretty much a always the best choice. If you have a card that does both, it will depend on the rest of your hand.

Super happy to see more sts climb vids 😊 Only constructive gameplay feedback is sometimes using the option to scry your flurry of blows into your discard pile so that you can draw it with a stance change! It often seemed like you were afraid of scrying flurry of blows because you would "lose" it, but sometimes that's the fastest way to get it active!

Awesome run! One small thing im not sure you realized was that apotheosis upgrades your miracles, which makes each of them give two energy instead of one. Its a smaller thing, but it was a pretty cool synergy that you got!

NL, a tip for the Transient (the enemy that does a ton of damage, but dies after 5/6 turns) as the Watcher: If you're in Wrath, the Transient's damage is doubled AFTER strentgth is applied. This means if it says it is going to hit you for say, 60 damage while you are in Wrath, you only need to do 30 damage to it to get it to do zero damage. This is because it's Attack is 30, minus 30 from strength down is zero, THEN DOUBLED BY WRATH 0*2=0 damage. This means that a Transient that is going to hit you for 30 damage, if you have a 15 damage attack and can enter Wrath, you can stop him from doing any damage.

Happy to see more ascension runs. Quick tip: when playing flurry or weave, they get put in your hand from the discard pile. So when you scry, you can discard them, then they'll either get immediately put into your hand if they're weaves, or get put into your hand when you change stances. So you don't need to draw them and can draw something else. Looking forward to the climb!

Hey nl, quick tip at 43:50 since Flurry of blows returns from discard and scry sends to your discard, you could have put flurry away and still drew empty body, and get the same flurry of blows damage but with empty body block, not really a big misplay or anything but I hope this tip helps if a similar situation comes up again :)

Watcher is very fun, the stance shenanigans are a blast and she has the potential for crazy amounts of burst damage. My early game recommendation: Eruption is a must-upgrade at your first opportunity to give you more energy to work with during Wrath.

Small actionable tip: Don't overlook Blasphemy (Enter Divinity. Die next turn). It is actually really strong against normal enemies since a good divinity turn kills all enemies. It's kind of a dead card most of the combat against bosses and some elites tho (similar to Judgement in that sense)

It should be noted that when upgraded you retain it, so you can save it for a really big attack since you gain 3 energy just for using it

It also Retains when upgraded, so you can save it until you *know* you have lethal in hand and mitigate the risk of undershooting and then getting dusted. It's *also* worth noting that the way Blasphemy kills you isn't through just an insta-death, but by applying a status effect that deals 99999 damage at the start of your next turn. I don't think an Artifact is enough to get out of it, haven't tested it yet, but I do know you can just eat the damage if you have a Buffer, Intangible, Lizard Tail or Fairy In A Bottle.
