I had a great time playing this one! The seem I found was all Sadistic Nature based. I focused on status effects and discard and it started really getting nuts. I didn't get any perfects in Act 1 but I bought Fossilized Helix on Act 2 and it got crazy.

At the start of an elite/boss fight, evalate your chance of a perfect. There were loads of fights where the perfect chance was

A bunch of those fights it would have been pointless to not use potions cause he'd get a potion at the end of the fight and had a free alchemize

@@Vincentoist I understand its a multifactored analysis. My point was that there was like 5 instances where he used a potion to block 2-5 damage, and then the next turn took 10-20 extra because he did not have the potion. So by giving up on the perfect a turn earlier you can save as much as 10hp. Almost no potions in the game have an expected hp save of 10hp so you would always prefer to not gain a random potion and 2hp instead.

28:18 this turn could've been beautiful, it was great. But could've been better. Pro tip: doubling an X card is the same as playing it at the same amount of energy twice (I.e using duplication potion on a skewer at 3 energy results in 6 hits of said skewer). Now to explain what would've been near lethal turn 1: Play the 2 energy potion, secret weapon for skewer, alchemize because why not (in this case you would've gotten another 2 energy potion, though the 5 energy skewer would be enough of an incentive for me to commit to it), use the potion to reach 7 energy, use duplication potion, skewer for 18*7*2=252 + 12(3shivs). Even if you did not think to alchemize you would've dealt 192 damage turn 1, THAT'S A LOTTA DAMAGE.

I know you don't like to be told how to play the game, but one thing that helped me a lot is don't follow a bad decision with a worse one. When you forgot to discard with survivor you chose to use a energy potion, while normally not a terrible idea, on a daily with a elite coming up it would be better to save the energy and take the 7 damage.
