Bubbles in coolant bad head gasket?
@fromcarstocomputers72612 ай бұрын
The head gasket was good the system can let out a small amount of bubblse when it is getting a fill up ( from air in the hoses a such )... but this did have a leak in the heater core as well and I changed it out soon after this video was made, so yes the system was not flowing just right because of the leak

When changing out the radiator.. how much transmission fluid is lost from the transmission cooling portion of the radiator? Would you know?

Well each model can be different but very little transmission fluid is in the radiator about a 1/2 quart if that.

you don't have to remove bottom shroud it will pull out no problem but you had it on ramps and honestly not hardly any trans oil will leak at all on level ground i know i just changed mine 20 minutes ago

and yes i agree be careful with trans lines hooking back up. all in all great video sir

also make sure thermostat opens before capping radiator i usually sit inside once i got it full and wont take no more and watch guage it will run up so far then back off then top it up some more wait til your satisfied air is out then cap it

Where can I find the upper radiator hose? I've tried junkyards, AutoZone, O'Riley. I got a 1995 c1500 Chevy truck as well
@fromcarstocomputers72612 жыл бұрын
auto-zone and O'rileys should have it but you can check with NAPA and if they don't have it the go to a GM dealer ( one with a repair area ) and they can order it for you ( it might cost more. )

@@fromcarstocomputers7261 okay thank you! Also i just realized my truck doesn't have a heater hose only the little hose 🤔 is that normal ?
@fromcarstocomputers72612 жыл бұрын
@@lamadrinaofficial9493 Your heater hose is right below where you fill your radiator and the return from the heater goes to the engine. ( you will still have the 2 large radiator hoses ( plus metal automatic transmission line if you have an automatic ) Now maybe at some point your engine was changed out and yours do not connect at the same points
