Great video - my only suggestion is I'd add that it may be prudent to let the charge dissipate after taking out batteries, and I've found that you need to insert the batteries as quickly near to each other as possible - I line them all up w the + side just barely out, but having tension, then I push them all in at the same time. Thank you for this resource.

You're a life saver! I was so confused when it continued to chirp after I swapped the batteries. This was 100% the fix.

It's insane that this is the fix that worked and no one else seems to be talking about it Thank you so much for saving another frustrated life

@@halftruism93 resources are scant, so hats off to alarmgrid - but as a professional installer of these, I gather some of these nuances in the constant battle of technology vs technician 😅

I replaced the batteries with new lithium cr123 batteries and the sixcombo is still chirping with a low battery warning. Any suggestions on what the problem might be. Any way to reset the sixcombo?

@@ycxu5915 my pleasure. A little bit of information/knowledge sharing can go a long way. Good for you to take the impetus to do your research and find the comment in the first place. Unfortunately I think our type is rarer than we think. Be well!

I can't get my unit detached from the base that is attached with screws to the wall. Anyone have any answers? I turned the alarm counterclockwise and pull, but the alarm won't release from the base plate. I even tried turning it clockwise and that didn't seem to work either. Any ideas? Please help?

If properly mounted, you should firmly turn the sensor counterclockwise when it released it should basically fall off. No need to apply any pulling pressure. This is demonstrated in the video. There are no special tricks, try turning it harder.
