Changing your own oil on a Classic 900

Front ramps with wheel chocks at the rear or jack stands, be safe! Use a new aluminum crush washer every time you install the drain plug and use a torque wrench. I've been using this procedure on all of my cars and trucks, American, European and Asian since the 1960's with 100% success. Pre-filling the oil filter prevents a dry start.

can I recommend to any 900 owners who are not super mechanically minded there is a 20 page download called ' Fundamentals for the do-it-yourself owner 100-1 -110-20 brilliant basic stuff,but very handy.

Nice video! but what happened to using jack stands? You will be crushed like a melon if that jack fails...

I'd suggest a 10W40 semi synthetic for this car rather than 5W30 full synthetic.

Since 90 to 93 the gearbox hasn't got drain plug. Gearbox carter must be opened to drain oil.

keyz01 my 93 900 turbo has the drain plug for gear box and final drive
