H.E.B. is named after (Howard Edward Butt) he was the son of Florence Butt who Started a small grocery store in 1905? Her son opened some after WW2 when he got back the first few stores failed. But Soon it all came together and the store was named after him using his initials. H.E.B. This is one of the largest individual owned companies in America..

Glad y'all enjoyed Magnolia Beach and Matagorda Bay. My sister lives down the coast from you on Mustang Island she's taken me up and down the coast sightseeing. :) And by the way, the grocery store is not pronounced "Heb," it's actually pronounced by its initials - "H. E. B." a Texas favorite grocery store.

Seaside RV Resort in Seabrook is right across the highway from our home! Magnolia Beach is a favorite place of ours to boondock in Texas (sadly we don't have much of that in Texas )-: Beach camping definitely has to be timed right for it to be comfortable...late fall and winter and early spring is probably the best time and you get to meet dozens of folks from Ontario down there. Lavaca BBQ in Port Lavaca and Victoria is a solid BBQ spot if you ever make it back...one of the Texas Monthly food editors said you'd find Jesus at Lavaca BBQ, lol. Heeb is totally cool to say, our son manages one and they say the same thing too, lol. Take care!

A thought on humidity while boondocking. We have a small $50. humidifier we run on the inverter to keep the humidity in the RV down. That keeps us from having to use the AC (heavy power draw) as often to keep the interior dry. During the early summer and early fall months we're actually able to set the temp on the AC higher, while still feeling the same comfort level. It will normally pull a cup or two of moisture per day, a little more if we keep the doors open.

I hope you enjoyed the Shiner beer. My dad was from there. It's worth checking out. I was hoping that you would have said something about Indianola. It was a landing spot for many immigrants it the 1880s. There was a town there but too many hurricanes wiped out the buildings. There is a statue of Laffite and some plaques about the ghost town. the remains of the building are in the bay.

You might want to check out a dehumidifier. They do make small ones and they are not that pricy. But they sure make life when RVing a whole lot more enjoyable. We've found that turning on the AC tends to just cool down the moisture but doesn't get rid of it. Great video guys.

I came a cross at least in Michigan and Tennessee of 26,000 Lb is the limit of combine weight of the truck and trailer before needing a CDL. Tennessee requires that trucks with trailer use weigh station. I wanted to know how accurate this is? I know your next destination well, there a lot of great places to go and see in and around the area. I am sure that Chad will love the WWII museum. Tara, there is a chocolate shop that is really good called Quintessential Chocolates at 251 W Main. If you get out on the three sisters; be very careful of the fuzzy tailed forest rats (deer). The gentleman that owed the Motorcycle stop in Leakey lost his life to one of them a while back, a real lost to the motorcycling community. Hippie Chicks in Concan has a really good pizza and I believe you might like that as well, kind of a funky little place. There is a low water crossing just west of there on the river road that is a really good photo opp for bikes as well.

My number one gripe about camping anymore is people not picking up after their dog. We travel with a dog and sometimes end up picking up more crap from others than our own. Post Covid camping crush really brought down common courtesy and etiquette in camping. We just spent a week in Yellowstone, and while walking our dog, we found that someone dumped their steak trimmings (raw bone, fat, some meat) in the woods, just 20 feet from the campground. It's bear season. The campground goes above and beyond to warn you that its serious and be careful. Unbelievable idiots.

As a truck driver for37years, to answer your question about line time, although you’ve probably had many answers to a varying degree, it, as a rule of thumb, comes down to drivers hours of service, we like to minimize our stops and maximize our hours of work (as usually drivers are paid by the mile!) so by law, 15 minutes is the minimum a driver has to log for fueling up, so he will then pull forward to the line, dash in, use the bathroom, grab something to eat, shop or what ever, get back to the truck and fill out our log, check load ect, all , hopefully within 15 minutes. This is because we are forced by law to take a 45 minute break with a certain amount or working time/driving. This can be broken down into a 15 and a 30 or a 45 block! So the driver may have already had a 30 somewhere and is just needing a 15 to finish it off. Is the driver needs more time, he may just pull off the pump and park up in a slot then go to do the what they need to do. So I’d say, the answer to your question would be 15 minutes.
