I think someone else has already said this, but I'd love to see some videos about cool and weird Sega Saturn platformers. Playstation's obviously a mainstay of your channel, you had a big spree of N64 stuff a year or two back, a couple of Dreamcast games, but I feel like there's a big Saturn-shaped hole in your content and the system has a lot of really cool stuff!

I think that for your Startropics re-review you could take a page out of your "How Canadian TV Shaped Me" vid and keep the title general enough to warrant more clicks (i.e., without mentioning Startropics in the title). Curiosity is what gets people clicking, and that's why this sort of format works (for better or for worse).

I'm guilty of immediately clicking on your retro/hidden gem/weird old game videos because you're one of my favorite people to do those, but when it comes to videos of new indie games, I find myself not excited to immediately click on them half the time for some reason, that's on me though. I guess in a sense I'm not on here to find new games to play, but more to enjoy a fun video on weird games of old. It might be worth considering sponsorships imo, you have solid viewership to the point where you wouldn't have to worry about finances. You can always negotiate to have the ads in the middle or end of videos too, most people don't mind and just skip it in a couple seconds. Just something to think about! Sponsors have kept my business afloat several times when viewership was low, so wanted to throw that out there if you see this

For what it's worth, I got you in my subs tab on the day of your last video's release, AND I went on to pick up a couple of the games featured, they've been so fun so far!

wow I just realized I've been watching your channel for around 6 years, and I love how you've been so genuine in your videos, always trying to see the best even in the worst games, that basically taught me to look with a more positive eye at games, and I've been way more happier and enjoying way more games since then! I also can't even count how many amazing games I discovered through this channel, many of which I love and are some of my favorites now, so thank you for that James! Love Nitro Rad and happy birthday!

Aw man I loved that last video, it sucks KZbin decided to screw it over Edit 1: it’s 100% fair to monetize these update videos, KZbin still shows ads on the videos anyways so not monetizing it doesn’t affect the viewer much unless you pack it with midrolls or something.

I really loved the Blue Stinger video! I showed it off to some friends who haven't watched you before and they had a riot with it! Really fun to rewatch, what a crazy game. Hope that things improve for you in 2024, but it sounds like they have in the small and important ways. I think therapy isn't necessarily for everyone if you've got the right support and the ability to examine your feelings -- you're obviously stressed but no need to beat up on yourself! doesn't do anyone any good and being super critical of yourself isn't required to not sound snobbish or anything like that. eating better even a little bit is great, so is regular activity, feels nice to just go walking anyway, looking forward to the videos you make this year! the platformers one was fun and well done! your enthusiasm for the games you cover is always a big plus

Those are some awesome cats! Good to hear you're trying to take a few steps to work on your mental health. Therapy is absolutely good and all (helped me a ton), but it's a long and expensive process. Eating better and exercise are arguably equally important, especially in the long run.

very much looking forward to the Hotel Dusk video, i have so many memories of playing that game and making all sorts of lore theories that ended up disproved later XD

Super looking forward to that Hotel Dusk video! I still need to finish its sequel but I would also love to see you cover the Another Code duology that just got remade. I'm sorry to hear that you're going through struggles, though. Try not to be so hard on yourself!

Love your stuff, I always appreciate the thought and care you put into your videos. It sucks how much the algorithm has to impact what you do, but your passion really shines through all these years despite of it. Here's to another great year!

I've watched a lot of your content in the past, and I won't lie, I've been watching other things for the last year or so. Watching this video though has reminded me how good your content is. I'll definitely be watching the whole backlog I haven't seen in the coming days/weeks! I love what you do, and even if I was away for a while, I'm back now :D

I would not click on "The Game that Made Me Love Video Games" if I was not already familiar with the KZbinr. The title could be applied to any game and only appeals if I am already interested in the creator. I would focus on something more unique about the game like how they hid the answer to a puzzle behind dipping the letter in water.

As a fellow Canadian, the topic on the cost of living really hit home. Glad to hear you are doing what works best for you and your wife! I can relate to a lot of the problems you talked about and it's nice to hear you working through it. Looking forward to the rest of the year and what you have cooking!

I’ve been watching your videos since around 2017 and love the way you analyse and dissect these often quite obscure games. Honestly nearly every game you’ve covered (and liked, so definitely not bubsy 3D for example) have been right up my street and I’ve found so many cool games because of your channel. I’m SO excited for the LSD dream emulator video, been waiting for that for years. No other video game review channels have the same feel that yours does and thank you for the 10 years of KZbin. Here’s to a whole lot more.
