But tonight his Brexit Party has been forced to sack two officials - after an undercover investigation by this programmme revealed shocking evidence of racism, violence and potential criminality.
The pair - an elected councillor, and a regional party manager - were working on the party's campaign in Hartlepool, where Chairman Richard Tice is standing for election.
The councillor has now resigned.
And a warning there is racially offensive language in Clare Fallon's exclusive report which you may find disturbing - and some flash photography from the outset.

I live approx 30 meters away from the abu nazir mosque in Hartlepool and we have a good relationship with our Muslim counter parts, they allow our local schools to take our children to the mosque and learn about their culture and is also reciprocated. Budget stores source food from Europe i.e Home Bargains, Asda or Iceland will have a less access to suppliers in Europe which intern costs more to UK consumers. With it being harder to get into the UK, seaside towns will suffer with tourism, language schools will close and there won't be as many Eastern European cleaners. How are we meant to fill so many NHS and police jobs when the unemployment rate is so low? Economically Brexit seams like a disaster for the working class... Well, it's rather easier to do undercover investigation and interviews when a party is in the process of going out in public and campaigning... Doesn't it make sense that the public are more interested to hear party political news at a time when party politics is most in focus i.e. before a general election? And like most news outlets, their aim is to get views. If C4 were using the news to stop Brexit they would be targeting the Tories: the only party with a viable Brexit planned... No? If they went home with their money, then that money would leave the economy leading economic decline. I rang in to James O Brien at LBC recently. We disagreed on leaving the EU.... the conversation was streamed onto various channels and I was subjected to racist abuse (under JOB’s direction I later found out.).
