This drug epidemic is placed on the young men of Congo on purpose. This ISNT an accident! Sierra Leone is known as a country with a very young population. This is a threat to those that want to continue to steal the country's resources. People high on drugs are not going to fight back nor be politically involved. So upsetting to see this happening in Africa.

I pray everyday that GOD intervenes and I have complete faith that HE will respond in ways no one will ever believe was possible. The God I serve always gives us a chance to turn from our wicked ways but his patience eventially runs out. There is no excuse for anyone dealing in this Satanic stuff. There is a group of Rastafarians that live In Ethiopia, they are the primary consumers and growers of marijuana. With the modernization in Africa, the economy booming and the strong Chinese influence, I have a feeling this will spread throughout the continent fairly quickly. China is a leader in manufacturing and distributing some of the most lethal drugs in this world. Please by the grace of God, May Africa remain drug free! We have to value our bodies and our lives. Africans are entirely too smart and strong willed to let such a disgusting thing take over their culture. Alcohol and khat is more than enough for any human. No need for this level of demise. Even IF it’s “sponsored”, no one held a gun to their head, did they? They have free will and they chose drugs, the wrong path and the cowardly way out of their miserable existence. Why is it always Africans, who blame other people but themselves. Take accountability and make the change yourselves. STOP being lazy. There are so many poverty stricken countries in Asia and so many slums, where yes, a minority might fall into drugs, but the majority are hard working and they have honour and the fear of shame. Bring back practicing of religion shame, and you will notice many societies would act differently. These people are openly sinning and shaming themselves and their families. There are so many countries and many of its populations, living on the breadline, but they CHOOSE to WORK, instead of begging and choosing the cowards way out. Why do Africans, still to this day, blame other races, for THIER disgusting culture of stealing, gangs, drugs, fighting, abuse etc. Even if the corrupt leaders are bought by their Western masters, PEOPLE make up a country. The general public can CHOOSE to follow religion, good parts of their culture and get educated on all matters. There are countries in the world, where they too were colonised but they rose up. Accountability is so important to recognise and move on and improve from that. There are many things the West can be blamed for, but at the end, the choice is in the publics hand.

Third world countries are usually countries that were colonized in the past. Why should US people learn a foreign language? The whole of the western world is based on American and to a lesser extent British English. When I emigrated from the UK to The Netherlands, I survived for years without speaking a word of Dutch. If I moved to Scandinavia, it would the same. Not speaking English is only a thing when in a language proud nation like France and even then English is widely spoken. I think it is better to pour resources into science and Maths before languages. Still given Sierra Leone horrific, sad, violent history, I'm not surprise this unheard of depravity is taking place - digging up peoples' bones to process them into joints to smoke.

May the youth save themselves and make better choices. God cannot help them. An ideology cannot prevent them from sparking a lighter and getting high.

The Hindu Kush is an 800-kilometre-long mountain range on the Iranian Plateau in Central and South Asia to the west of the Himalayas. It stretches from central and eastern Afghanistan into northwestern Pakistan and far southeastern Tajikistan. The Hindu Kush strain is a pure indica landrace cannabis strain from the Hindu Kush mountain range, spanning Afghanistan and Pakistan. This strain is known for its potent effects, distinct earthy aroma, and THC levels ranging from 15% to 20%, with minimal CBD content. Imagine if they called this drug Cristal or Courvoisier, Jägermeister . Then everyone would be up in arms saying "thats not what that is". Because alcohol is widely accepted, but cannabis, they just let them demonize a strain name for clicks.

This is a very depressing story. To be born and have to battle through life to make ends meet is tough already. Trying something for the first time and getting hooked on this garbage has to be so hard to combat. SMH God Bless these individuals who are doing their best to make a better life. Follow your dreams and don't let anything deter you from success.

In an era where on the ground journalism is being refunded I'm happy to see quality reports like this. The world's apathy to Sierra Leone suffering is unforgivable.

@@BARBARYAN. You clearly don't know an awful lot about the history of Sierra Leone and how most of their issue stem from wealthy nations greed. Unapologetic ignorance springs to mind. People are tired of being poor, they are tired of suffering and they are going through so much that they'd rather find a way to escape their reality, the nightmare that they live on a daily basis, it is beyond sad.
