Well you do need a counter spell, an instant speed removal, a target for said removal, an instant speed graveyard hate and mana for all those spells all at the same time to pull that off so if you are not playing rogues after sideboard (and after drawing a bazillion cards) good luck...

Can someone explain the line from Arne to me? I don't know If I understand it correctly. He uses the stack to put an additional instant spell (first drown in the loch) on it, to maintain priority to then being able to exile the ox while Javier can't interact with that? Was that the point?

It he hadn’t, there’s a window where Javier would get to escape Ox (which puts it on the stack and can no longer be Clinged to Dust).

Rogues would be so much more respectable if drown was banned a 2 in 1 that enabled by basically every card in the deck, the card even sees play in older formats its quite clear it's too strong

I think Wizards is just done banning cards from their biggest mistake in five years, being Eldraine as a whole.

Hard disagree. Skyclave apparition sees far more play in older formats, should it be banned? Drown is a really cool card, it has a strong effect but you have to work for it to get a payoff. Rogues is as annoying as it is because it has a suite of incredibly efficient enablers in standard that allow you to get to Drown and Into the Story quickly. Neither Into the Story nor Drown in the loch saw any significant standard play before Zendikar, how can they possibly be "too strong"? The standard metagame is, while boring, fine.

Both #1 & 2 are great plays, but like, c'mon guys. It isn't like next level thinking. They were great plays, but not difficult to see the lines. Lol

#2 was better than #1. Someone who plays rogues a lot has to deal with Ox all the time, so they should have learned by now to put something on the stack if possible before going for the counter+cling on Ox. Saccing your own troll to give you the 1 extra mana you need is something that very rarely comes up in KHM draft even if you play as much of it as Ben does.
