A theory for the blue flame: In the episode where bakugo and shoto were helping kids seiji shishikura (I think) said that as time goes on quirks can develop through generations meaning dabi could have a more advanced fire quirk as endeavour's quirk could have developed and the reason the other children don't have it is because they have more of their mom's gene

to help with this theory: in the manga, it pointed out that toya has a stronger fire quirk than endeavor ( I don't think I spelled that right but whatever) and blue fire is hotter than red/ orange fire. Ok, my theory: So endeavor had another child, dabi, but with another woman, one with black hair and maybe blue eyes. But when he's born, endeavor leaves, which would explain him hating endeavor. And the reason for him not telling/hating Shoto or anyone else in the todoroki family is because he doesn't want them to feel the same way he did when he left. Idk if this is a good theory, but my best friend's older brother came up and I came up with it and I liked it.

Lovely Serpent I think dabi is endeavor child since quirks get passes between generations and it get stronger dabi quirk is from his dad he got the blue flames he was too strong for his small body he accidentally burned himself while his dad training him it’s just a theory maybe he’s dad kept training him and he keeps burning himself then he controlled his power he’s dad knew he was too strong maybe he said that he died but he didn’t he’s dad said he was stronger than him I don’t think that what he wanted since he married shoto mom for her quirk he want a perfect mix between two that’s when shoto was born and he was perfect maybe he ran away bc of jealousy since he trained and burned his body for his dad to notice how strong he is

Shoto's first costume completely covered his fire side in ice. It was part of his defying Endeavor by using only ice. After the Sports Festival, he decided he to stop doing that, and thus ditched the original costume.

My analysis. It doesn't *say* that's why he changed his costume, but since the costume change coincides with him starting to use his fire in battle, that's the obvious conclusion. It's just that we're never shown any scenes of Todoroki going to the support department to make costume alterations like we have with Deku and a few of the other characters.

Same, Dabi has a specific fixation in Shoto and Endeavor, with the latter seems a grudge. Recall that Dabi became united to the league of villains because he shares the ideals of the Heroes killer. In the eyes of the hero killer, All Might is the ideal hero for the community, Shoto and Deku also seem good candidates for heroes but Endeavor does not meet at all with what it takes to be a hero, in the anime / manga enter in thirst for blood when he sees it. In the manga the past of Himiko, Twice and Shigaraki have already been revealed, all except Dabi. Isn't it too much coincidence?

it’s almost like he knows shoto was abused as a child and can see how he is still essentially doing his father’s bidding by becoming a hero. dabi pities him because he himself managed to escape from endeavour’s abusive household, whereas shoto is becoming a great hero as his father wanted, and suffered abuse throughout the years.

@@frfr12921 It may be, but it doesn't make much sense for him to notice Shoto when Deku is closer to becoming a hero like All Might and that Stain admires. If Dabi followed Stain's ideology to the letter, he would focus on Deku, not Shoto, as Himiko did. Dabi shares the same ideals as Stain, I think he must have a more hidden reason to agree with that ideology, Dabi is the only villain who has not yet revealed his past (they have already revealed the passage of Himiko, Shiragaki, Twice, etc. ,) and makes it even more suspicious.
