What about the DNA traits of chimera. There have been people that have had multiple hair color due to this. Also, they never said that they weren't genetically altered. One more thing. Todoroki was a success as his other siblings were failures is because they didn't hold the right ratio of the quirks. Endeavor can only take so much heat when using his quirk. He needed some one that had a quirk that could cool. Todoroki's quirks have shortcomings on there own but together they can make up the difference.

I think that that is possible but there have been cases where children inherited none of their parents power and got a completely different power. I think he had the power to enhance his electrical field inside his body and since its a useless quirk by itself, one for all took it and made it part of one for all adding that quirk to one for alls stockpiling effect. Thats why izuku can have all mights strength while not buffing out because dekus sealed quirk actually turned the increase in power to internal rather than external by all might and the electrical effect is that his body cant contain that power so it comes out as a electrical field.

Deku inherited his mothers Quirk. Power Crying. They both do it. The answers always been there on screen, just everyone keeps ignoring it. While its played on screen as a joke, he can be seen flooding the room he is in, leaving not just puddles of tears but full on multiple characters up to their ankles submerged. The fact that the other characters notice and react to this happening means its more then just a cute moment of comedy. Its a very real effect in their world changing the local environment. His quirk has been hiding in plain sight this entire time.

So, Deku's mom is able to move small objects and his dad can breathe fire... let's look at this from the perspective of the Five Elements in Japanese Buddhist belief. Deku would have a combination of Fire (from his father) and Wind (from his mother). Fire represents, in part, metabolism and drive and passion. Wind represents living things, breathing, and compassion. Combine these two, and what could Deku's original quirk have been? Well, we've already been told in the manga, although in an oblique way. The doctor who told Deku he would never have a quirk is also the same doctor who serves All For One. The doctor tells All For One "If only I could lay my hands on Super Regeneration five years sooner...." Deku's original power was Super Regeneration - not just of himself. I suspect that somewhere along the line, One For All will cause this stolen power to return to Deku or reactivate. It is evidently a rare power (since the doctor was wishing he could have gotten it earlier), but All For One and multiple Nomus are shown to possess it - obviously All For One can give the same quirk to multiple beings. The doctor could have given a blood sample from Deku to All For One and have given Deku a drug that would suppress the activation of Deku's natural quirk. Eri's power would only hasten the unlocking of Deku's original power. Combined with One For All and his own innate Super Regeneration, it is easy to imagine how Deku would be able to become the world's greatest hero. Being able to use One For All at 100% repeatedly with his body naturally recovering almost instantly, the biggest stumbling block to Deku's growth as a hero would be removed. I don't expect this to happen until near the end of the story though, because it would remove much of the tension the status quo creates.

Deku does have a quirk. It's is insane reasoning skills. We've already seen that high IQ is a quirk, so it's completely possible that his quirk is the ability more easily absorb information and calculate the best possible actions from them. And this quirk wouldn't have been noticed as a child because how would a child use it? Also after being told he has no quirk he most likely wouldn't have tried using this ability before.

About Shoto Todoroki's quirk. A reasonable explanation for why he is perfectly 1/2 and 1/2 (ice left, fire right) is that he may be a chimera. He may be the result of a pair of twins (one who inherited 100% ice, the other 100% fire) who merged to form Shoto. This sort of perfect bilateral chimerism is not unheard of in nature, just exceptionally rare.

Based on some of his actions and behavior I got 2 ideas of what quirk he could have: Waterworks:He can produce a large amount of tears to shoot in a stream (hence why his crying looks like that) Search/Observance:He can collect information on ANYBODY by observing them (hence why he keeps notes on everyone)

Now, hear me out. What if quirks are all dominant alleles while being quirkless is recessive. Now his mother and father both had either a parent or grandparent that was quirkless and the recessive quirklessness was then in his mom and dad(albeit how low of a probability that it would pass that far down, it is still a possibility) therefore Deku got unlucky and recieved the 2 recessive alleles for quirklessness. It would be much more likely that if his parents had another child they would recieve some form of PyroKinesis or an ability to use their breath to cause antigravity(and the ability to pull things closer or push them away depending on if they were to breathe in or out)

You just didn't understand what the whole Todoroki siblings hair thing symbolizes and based a good chunk of the video on that. I assume quirks don't have only one gene active, so combining two quirks will not always split powers in half (Todoroki's case), the genes can express in different ways and get mixed up, which greatly reduces their efficiency. Todoroki's sister has red strands because her fire quirk is very weak, not because Endeavor's stress and burden was imprinted more on Todoroki. Todoroki just won the OP Quirk lottery, thus making Endeavor choose him as the best successor possible/

Deku might have another type of fire related ability.....fire resistance. He took point blank explosions and sustained them without scaring, which we've seen the show takes careful addition to place. ok listen closely now, someone screencap this, as the first person to figure it out: his fathers and mothers quirk merged into the quirk: likeable ( talktalknojutsu ). thanks to his mothers quirk to attract little things he gained the ability to attract people and through his fathers quirk to spit fire, he can spit out words that 'fire' up people. His hero name deku( rather 'dekiru' meaning 'able to do' ) points to the fact that he has the ability to gather people and give them the confidence to overcome obstacles.

Because some genes are more dominant than others. So it's likely that Endeavor's children likely inherited the fire quirk, but white hair, or different colored eyes, but don't have ice quirk. Todoroki is the only one to inherit both the ice and fire quirk. It's also not like Endeavor waited until Todoroki to try this, like the guy in the video said. He likely tried over and over until Todoroki came along. As we now know (spoiler) Endeavor's Quirk is not without weakness he can overheat, so to compensate for that he had to make sure his successor had ice quirk as well. It also combines with fire quirk to prevent freezing.

What if fire avoids him? When he tried to save Bakugo from the sludge villain, there was a lot of fire between him and the villain. Or what if it's dangerous things in general, like he attracts good things and repels bad things (getting into his mom's quirk) that he can sense whether he is seeing it or feeling it, or using any of the other senses. That way if I'm asked why he didn't repel the multiple hand dude was because he didn't hear or see him. With these powers combined, it repels the strongest when it is near fire.

i read somewhere (so it might just be a theory) that Enji originally tried to train Touya but even though he had a fire quirk, he had the frail body of an ice quirk user. if Dabi is Touya it would explain why Dabi has skin grafts. thats right, those arent burns they are skin grafts, most likely from a time when he had really bad burns. the would explain the staples.

Oooh I like Brian's idea. Combine the two, though -- be able to pull the heat out of the air and those around him, dramatically dropping the temperature. Then be able to quickly release intense flames -- stronger the hotter it was -- out of his mouth. Not only would the cold slow people down and the fire be incredibly destructive, rapid temperature changes can cause all kinds of chaos. But then he'd be too similar to Todoroki. I also like the idea of him being a pyromancer -- able to spew flames from his mouth, but then control them at will. Not just a remote controlled fire ball, but like, tornados... Ooh! I feel like if Deku had a quirk that was a mixture of both his parents it would be like attracting heat. Maybe from like the air, or ground (however that works). But since his mom's quirk is more dominant, hers is the basic concept but still has a little of the father's fire. So overall I imagine him using it as attracting heat (from the air or ground or whatever) to his hands and then shooting it out into flames. Or maybe sending off heat waves. Idk it looks cool in my head, but honestly don't know if anything I just said made sense. It's just an idea.
