Chaophraya river fishing for Black ear Catfish. Fishing in Thailand กัปตันณัฐ เจ้าพระยา

Hi Guys
Fishing with Mr Nat กัปตันณัฐ เจ้าพระยา on the Chaophraya river Pathumthani. He Has 2 boats a smaller blue boat 1,600B a day that he said would be good for 2 guys and the bigger white boat 2,000B a day and good for 4 guys. I did book the small boat being on my own, but he had and issue and took me out in the white boat. I spoke to him ahead of time and said I wanted to fish with cockroaches for the Black ear catfish as I have seen him doing this on his Facebook page. I set myself up with 2 rods fishing cockroaches and he set up another rod with live bait. He used the floating weed hyasinth as a float and let the flow of the river pull the live bait down the river. An interesting technique as when a fish was hooked and you set the hook the tenshion in the line cuts the hyasinth and you are direct to the fish at that point.. I will be back again in the future as its very convenient from Bangkok only 1hr from where I live.

Yes the boat man has gr8 knowledge of his river and it defiantly makes a massive difference. I would choose to contact the boat man directly and do a trip like this than look for a guy who sells himself as a Fishing Guide any day. Most of the Guys calling them self's guides really just act as a translator between the boat man and you and charge a premium for the privilege.

snail eating catfish tu kalau kat sg jelai/pahang panggil patin buah..tepi sirip ada lubang lendir...ada gigi halus...sekilo 200-300 jual...org thai lepas balik gitu je..hahahaha😅

@@ivornappinion9406 Hi I spoke to the owner he said they drained it to fix the concreate around the main building. The fish are all still there but in less water. Thanks for the heads up.
