I've been using motorcycle specific jeans with kevlar for about 8 years. My first pair cost me 74.99€ and were A rated. The same jeans from the same company (no names, no pack drill) are now 150€! Pando Moto seem to be following the trend of biker stuff has to be twice the price of normal stuff. I started looking around for something a little more budget friendly. I found Hoods K7 Jeans which are AA rated. Have D30 armour and no seams at the knees so look just like ordinary (though a bit bulky) jeans. They ship world wide. Oh and they're about 150€ and they cut the leg to the correct length for you. I've been using them for a couple of years now and they've held up extremely well. So if you find the Pando Moto jeans a bit out of your price range, try Hoods.

I started riding in Spring of 2019 and always wear full protection. I realized by July that I needed some lighter protection for those hots days here in Canada. So I bought the Dainese riding jeans for myself and the Alpinestars jeans for my gf. We love these jeans, both work really well for us and the only reason we chose different brands was for the fit. They both have the same features of the jeans you mentioned. Great video, thanks!

Nice pair! I like the fact how easy the knee pads can be placed. I have full riding gear. I own a Scorpion Exo 920 helmet, 2 rev’it jackets (full armor with backprotector). 1 jacket is a mash jacket. And I’ve got the textile trousers from Rev’it as well. Shoes are from Alpinestars.

Thanks for the video. I have been riding in Diamond Gusset Jeans out of the USA. Pricey, but well worth it. No armor, but Kevlar lined, very comfy. Key ring is back further, and has velcro closures around the ankles. They may come loose over 160-170kph, or so I heard. Great for touring, if it is too warm for leather chaps. Also wear Carhart Work Jeans, come in black, blue and light brown. Double lined in knees, comfy as well.

Starting out without full gear was a big no-no in my case At first I thought about it, until I saw some crash videos and you see the road rash; I'd pass out when seeing that on my own leg/arm Great to see this review btw, gonna stick to Revit for now but will give these a look-over next time I need a pair!

Great, this is news to me. By the way, the loop in front is indeed to hang your key, with the keys in the loop and left to hang inside your pocket, I guess. Thnx and happy riding 👍

Hi there, I'm not a girl rider but my GF is. She wears the Alpinestar motorcycle jean and she loves them. All four pockets are usable and they look hot on her! And both the Dainese and Alpinestar jeans have the 4 second slide factor before wearing through the fabric, much like the Pando jean.

I've been wearing Kevlar jeans for for 3-4 months now. Can confirm they get very hot when you're just walking around or sitting in them. On the bike though, in 40c temps outside, I can barely feel the heat of the bike or anything. Best $200 I ever spent.
@michaelk70164 жыл бұрын
Hey I always wear textile motorcycle pants that fit over my regular jeans, a textile motorcycle jacket, a tube for my neck, motorcycle boots, a helmet and gloves. Why would you not do that? Just put one fingertip once down on tarmac and pull it over the surface. That smooth tarmac just feels worse than sandpaper..
@eatsleepworkcars17864 жыл бұрын
I wear mostly Aplinestars with the excepteion of my jeans which are Dainese. They fit really well and held up fine when I crashed ( I slid for about 80 feet). The only downsides are that they are expensive and the armor comes separate

i always wear full gear.. normally full leather.. Got 2 full leathers and a full textile ready to go along with boots, gloves and helmets. I dont mind walking around the city with my leathers and helmet, i dont mind people seeing or knowing that im a biker. I ride every day, in the rain, in the sun, at night.. proper gear makes this much safer and more confortable in my opinion.
@ItsBeenDanBefore4 жыл бұрын
I'm very surprised you've only just gotten riding jeans, I hate riding without full gear. I'd also recommend steering away from steel armour in your boots. Where regular boot armour would absorb and dissipate the force of an impact, steel doesn't, it will crush your toes inwards, potentially taking them off entirely. But, still, if these jeans were at a slightly lower price point, I might consider them. For price alone, I would probably either go for a pair of PMJ or Rev'It jeans, which would both achieve the same or better level of safety and style for a lesser price
@riderramblings4 жыл бұрын
What were they thinking by put that metal loop (key loop?) at the front. It's, like you said, going to scratch the tank _badly_ After a while, you don't notice the hip and knee armour.

Insane heat is 22C? I'm from SW Florida. It's always above that in the day (except the 2 weeks of "winter" where it gets down to 10C for a few days a few times.) Even today as Tropical Storm Elsa went by me it was 27C. I (American) thought SA was about my weather. Yes, I'm aware Africa is larger than the US, but assumed the temp was still similar the other direction of the equator similar distance (factoring hemisphere season swap) . #themoreyouknow

Kevlar lined jeans are out. Single layer motorcycle jeans with armor pads are in. They can be easily altered by a tailor to fit you perfectly and triple stitched for safety. You don't need 6 secs slide kevlar lined jeans. During a fall, you'd more likely slide for 2-3 seconds and then tumble around. Regular jeans last 0.5 secs. Single layer motorcycle jeans lasts 3-4 secs. Good enough if you drive responsibility.
