But I traded in the 1290 after only 6 months and bought a 2022 s1000 RR , realising that I am too scared to go anywhere over an hour from home. But this year I am determined to do some long trips and to get a new adventure bike (Im keeping the RR for short blasts). I am yet to decide on a bike. maybe another 1290 because I have a lot accessories and luggage from the previous bike, 1300gs, or a used 1250. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work.

What do you figure this bike would go for in the USA? Any idea? Are vehicles in SA usually at a premium there compared to US prices ? Or no idea?
@domenik83399 ай бұрын
A 2013 BMW GS in my area is $8000-10,000. And that's with the double the mileage of his bike. US bike prices are among the worst in the entire world. We usually pay at least double what everyone else pays for the same bike, post covid it's more like 2.5x.

Road Trip? Or a short weekend outing. Nice romantic spot to take girlfriends. Hope her butt recovered. Keep the GS and go further, It won't be free but you will feel free. I live in Canada. I paid twice as much for my 1200GS. I put 15K on it. Got it nice and dirty. It could do with a good wash. It's still worth roughly what I paid for it. I don't know where I'm going next. I will be going somewhere. I'd almost like offer you the 6000 for yours. Cape town to Kilimanjaro, Victoria Falls Namibia or who knows where? Your young, be free go, you have the ride. Put another 10 or 15k on it. Sell it for 6000. You have a good idea. You don't need a 30000 dollar 1300GS to go have adventure. Find nice used older ADV bike Like the GS and go. Someone will by this bike and go. Fix the starting sensor. It should start no problem in gear with stand up and clutch in.
