You will never outspeed her garchomp with yours only because you are one level higher unless you have perfects ivs and a speedy nature because her garchomp has perfect ivs, 252 Evs in speed and a jolly nature Edit: apparently she "only" has 204 Evs in speed my mistake But it's still highly unlikely that you will outspeed her garchomp with a randomly caught garchomp even if it has 252 Evs in Speed

According to the google doc from the data miners, the spread for this battle and the first rematch are 52 HP, 252 Attack and 204 Speed. The 2nd rematch is 6 HP, 252 Attack and 252 Speed. It’s still a very speedy Garchomp if you don’t have a speed boosting nature, more speed EVs and a good enough IVs to pass it.

22:40 you cannot get that tm before the fight. Byrons badge allows you to use strength which you need to get to the earthquake tm. Those boulders are only not there in platinum.

Nah I just did this run on an emulator and used PKHex to change my Turtwig starter to a Gible. Nothing too crazy.

Simply put, each pokèmon has an EV value that they give out when you defeat it. E.g. 1 Speed EV, or 2 Sp. atk EVs. For each 4 EV of a stat, the total stat of the Pokèmon defeating the mon increases by 1. You can only do 510 total EVs for this, so balancing how many EVs per stat is vital to strategise with.
