With what is going on right now, I was looking for a good chicken kiev recipe. Even back in 2014, Jack was making this classic recipe with a shout-out to what Ukraine was going through then. Bless your memory Jack, always looking out for everyone. Peace brother, you are missed.

The breadcrumbs inside is a stroke of genius. So many times I've had kievs where a gallon of garlic butter pours out and all you're left with is a hollow, soggy chicken breast.

Its my favorite way to make and eat chicken. But, I just stick a knife through the middle of the breast and put the butter parley mixer in the whole and cover it up, it makes it a whole lot quicker and easier, especially when cooking for 5 or more people.

Sorry, the whole point of Chicken Kiev is waiting for that pool of butter spilling onto the plate. It's the whole joy of this dish. If you don't want that butter like that, you might as well fixed Chicken Piccata or Chicken Schnitzel or Chicken Cutlet. I'm making Chicken Kiev for Thanksgiving, for us non-turkey lovers, and still make a boneless turkey breast, pan fried in clarified butter/olive oil, with whole thyme and rosemary and sage and garlic and finish it in the oven...using a digital thermometer, it comes out at the perfect temperature. We share all the same sides and everyone feels special, not missing out on the tradition of a turkey, but we really want it the next day for sandwiches with the stuffing and gravy. Happy holidays.

I love it when he's talking about putting some "brown sauce underneath", thinking it might need a sauce... ...after being so proud of putting some bread crumbs inside the chicken so the butter doesn't "ooze out", which was supposed to be the sauce you idiot. And of course, it's burnt, as usual.

The chef Jack come from old school , now in any restaurant we don't see anymore this kind of dish , Stroganoff , Kiev , lobster bisque ……..he has his way , people like his videos and recipes , he enjoy cooking and he doesn't show off like many chef , people respect him , he work in a small kitchen , it doesn't look great , he doesn't wear hat and nice uniform , he can do anything in his restaurant and people Love him because the food is nice and him his good man . We deep-fry this patty. But you will have to roll the patty envelope like. No bread crumbs inside because once you cut the patty, you want to see the butter spill out. That's the sauce. But there are many variations of it. I also suggest you serve it with a sour cream sause - with dill and garlic.
