I started cooking when I was very young. I just stumbled upon his videos now and am going to share them with my father who is 65 and taught me everything tomorrow. I did not know he passed away as I am new here but I will say, wonderful energy and I appreciate all that he is teaching me. Much love and RIP Daddy Jack!

I love his no BS approach! No fanfare, no beautiful kitchens with scripted processes and carry on. He makes cooking look really easy with easy to find ingredients. Those pans must be like his children. An extremely likable character. RIP paisano! ✝

I am the guy from Chicago who called him and suggested to him to make chicken vesuvio a few months before he sadly passed. he was a very nice man. he made my chicken France better. I miss his videos. he had a lot more videos he wanted to make. I wish I could of tasted . it looks good. thanks chef.. Tony c.

I made this dish the other night and it was delicious. I just discovered Daddy Jack a few weeks ago and can’t get enough of his videos. He is clearly such an expert at his craft and you can tell the love and passion he puts into it. It's so calming to watch him cook and I love the way these videos are shot. It's real stuff. I was sad to hear that he had passed on. Much love to his family and friends. Thank you Daddy Jack. I’ll be cooking up your recipes for years to come!

@@DavidRomero-cv7nx Probably a Sauvignon Blanc since it's dry. You can get dry cooking wine but it's not as effective as actual dry white.

Prayers for you!!! I too am going through chemo treatment. Having a rough night on Super Bowl eve. I also watch Daddy Jack videos to help me deal with my treatment on many sleepless nights. Don’t need to tell you that loss of appetite has been an issue. Sometimes his cooking inspires me to try some of his dishes. Daddy Jack keeping it real.

This I my second battle with CANCER in 5 yrs. My wife & I are getting ready now to leave from here in Mobile Alabama this afternoon...I have to be in Houston Tx at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the morning for new PET Scans & blood work. @@randymiller3949 I live in the hills at 2,200 feet. North Georgia. The hillbillies eat groundhog or bear meat before chemo. A lot of it. Don't know why it works but I know it does. Come out of chemo like nothing. And yes, Deliverance was filmed here. LOL!!! People live off the land here!! I always had until I became crippled.

I like how he uses a short chef knife as his do all. It mimics a small deboning knife at times and he's able to use it for everything. No posturing. Form follows function as it were.

Just made this one tonight with some chicken legs that needed cooked. It was fantastic. The Red bell pepper really made it for me. I also added a handful of baby carrots for extra color. One day I'll remember the green onion!
