I'm just now hearing about this story, despite living in Tampa. There's barely any mention of this in Florida media, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's not a coincidence. The media in Florida is nakedly Conservative bent, you can even see it in the local news anchors and as an example, Spectrum 9s presentation of political stories (upbeat during Trump years, sad and mopey during Biden). But if the roles were reversed and it was a douchy lawyer type Lib who tried to act tough and got "drilled", no doubt Florida media would be reminding us about this day in and day out because the GOP official would of been heralded as a hero.
