My godness she is such a down to earth gal. I love her openness, her country girl vibes and how she just feels so relatible and free. Her music is very expermental. If she wasn't dropped from her record company she would of released much different music. At the time she was just coming out of high school. Now she's 26 and actually has some real life experience under her belt. Her songs are deeper. She also has people around her that let her have more creative freedom. You can tell just by how different her music sounds. I was honestly getting so bored of new music that having this album come out has been like a breath of fresh air. It just sounds different than anything else. I love that I love her creativity. She actually inspires me! I have a lot of music but it hasn't been released yet. Seeing her out there I realized that the best thing I could do is not over think it and just put it out there.

I feel like Chappell has a lot of interesting things to say about the album but I felt the questions were kind of lacking? Most of the prewritten questions weren’t digging very deeply at all. It seemed like they were not the interviewers question and he rather HAD to make sure to circle back to the questions. The best moments of the interview were when it was more conversational and the interviewer wasn’t glued to the paper.

My daughter asked if I would take her to the Reading festival to see Chappell Roan. I said sure and got the tickets. I,being a 43 year old straight male, hadn't heard of Chappell Roan. So I checked her out and listened to her album and became obsessed. Every song on that album is amazing. All the live performances are outstanding, especially the tiny desk. I can't listen to California without sobbing, the lyrics and her voice on that track.....uh, just so much emotion. She's a pop legend. I will be wearing pink and embracing the LGBTQ community at Reading. Hopefully, you will all be welcoming.
