After they asked her about Elton John, it made me remember when David Bowie commented on how much he liked Lorde... And I thought how sad I was sad that he wasn't here to see Chappell Roan. I think he would have loved her. She's got so much talent, she's so incredibly unique, and she's so giving to other artists. I don't remember any upcoming artist That's spent any part of interviews about their first album and or first tour talking about other artists. Like they'll say who their inspirations were... But they don't talk about contemporary artists that they like- people who they might view as "competition". Chappell always comes off as so down to earth with a really giving heart. (And honestly, how many other artists would go to a major event dressed with a headress and a pig nose?) My daughters discovered & fell in love with her- then I heard her music and fell head over heels as well. She's just so great.
