About Chappelle’s Show:
It’s not just a show - it’s a social phenomenon. Dave Chappelle’s singular point of view is unleashed through a combination of stand-up bits and street-smart sketches. Hailed by critics and beloved by fans, Chappelle’s Show brings the funk and the noise - and some of the funniest comedy on television.

As someone in a blue collar career that works with all different races, we all roast each other and our own races. It's just a part of the commraderie. No one ever gets offended about it, except outsiders listening in give weird looks.

He was breaking the power of these words instead of holding them in high regard... It's smart and unfortunate that they made him stop as Obama was running for office. That's what caused him to fly out and disappear. Things were a lot more tolerable back then because these words were almost nothing.

@@DThat492 everyone is so worked up today because of the ability for nobodies to have a voice. No matter what side you are on you're feeling like, "shut the fuck up and let me enjoy the shit that I enjoy". I do like that its forcing the people that we love to move to independent platforms because hopefully that will result in the people making decisions instead of sponsors and scared networks.

This show was meant to make people laugh but also think. If you think Chappelle was just trying to be funny and nothing else then you’re delusional. His humor has always had a political point behind it, mostly about how racist Americans/America is in general . To ignore that and look at it as only comedy and not social commentary is a disservice to his craft.

I remember seeing this for the first time around 15 years ago or more. To take such a taboo and turn it into a clever play on words was really pushing the boundaries of comedy in a way that everybody can laugh at this without offense. Dave Chappelle remains one of the greatest comedians of all time.
