At risk of sounding like a hovering mother-figure, and not knowing how much experience you've had with bronchitis - please, if you're developing congestion, a "wet" cough, tightness in your chest, and feel a bit fatigued - that's your body telling you that you absolutely should slow down. You need to force yourself to curl up under a blanket, drink plenty of water, hot tea and broth and sleep whenever you can while your body fights. I used to ignore that advice and ended up with pneumonia three times. Ok, lecture over. I love your channel!

@@gkirkbride5565 I'll second that comment. I live in Fleetwood, and one of my favourite days out, is to drive over to Ingleton to do the waterfalls walk in the morning, then drive to the White Scar Caves. Then continue East to a turn-off left, under a tall viaduct, and on to Dent village, where there's a nice little pub. Later we returned West-wards, via Devils Bridge. I well recommend this, for anyone, who like me, can no longer do the higher fells or mountains.

It's videos like yours that make KZbin worth watching. I always thoroughly enjoy going on these walks "with" you. I went through a phase of watching a lot of ghost-hunting documentaries, and I must say, most of them would kill to get footage like that of the figure next to your tent! You ought to send it to one of those people that analyses paranormal videos to get their opinion. To me, it looks like what ghost hunters call a "shadow person". As for feeling pressured to go out when you aren't feeling well, I'm sure people would be just as happy to watch a video of you at home telling stories about hiking or pretty much anything. You don't need to drag yourself out when you feel poorly or your foot's playing up. Hope you feel better soon!

What a lovely video! The scenery was stunning. It's always nice to finish off at a welcoming pub for a pint. There was definitely, a figure standing by your tent. The fact that the area was dark at the time means it couldn't be something at a distance which you mistook for a figure. It actually looked as if it moved slightly too. Thank you so much for taking us with you!

My favourite camping meal is what I call sausage strogonoff ! Twisty pasta (Fusilli). tin of Campbell's condensed soup, onions, sausages. Cut sausages up into small pieces, fry them along with sliced onions. Empty tin of soup into that and add some water, simma for however long it takes. Boil pasta and put sausage mixture on top .... mmmmm ... I love it.

Sometimes you do see things when you are out and about. I was out cross country skiing down a track in a forest a few years ago, about 9pm and wanted to get a shot of my tracks behind me, I stopped, turned around and put the torch on the phone on, and opened the camera app. On the screen I could see something moving across the pathway. Nothing at all in front of my eyes however. Looked back at the screen, it was there, I could tell it had saw me and it went across the track and into the woods on the other side. Only way to describe it was like electric smoke. Unclipped the skis and ran out of the woods, then once out skis on and skied as fast as I could. As soon as I got in the house my wife looked at me and said "you've seen something, haven't you". Couldn't see it with the naked eye, could on the phone. I did record it but didn't feel good about keeping the recording. Still run and ski there now and not seem similar.

Me and my wife went for a couple of nights bed and breakfast at the Mill Inn in December 2021. After we unpacked we turned on the tv and couldn't get a picture, so we rang down for the managers help. He couldn't fix the tv so suggested going to a room across the corridor to watch as nobody was staying in that room. I did just that while my wife had a bath. While I was there I heard the sound of loud voices and tv from the next door room , but thought nothing of it, and eventually crossed the corridor back to our room before we went down for our evening meal. The manager said he was the only person on duty that evening and he also cooked us our meal. While we were eating we got talking to him and I asked about the people in room 5 were they not coming down for their evening meal? He said we were the only customers that night, and that I must have heard a ghost! He went on to say that the cook refused to sleep in the inn and stayed in a caravan on the car park because of the ghosts!

What we're seeing at 44:10 is typical of what you see when the weather and light are just right to show the outlines of ancient earthworks. Add to that the farms around it being Far, Near and Under Howe, and the hill between them being being How Top, and I'd lay money down that's an ancient howe, or burial mound, that just got forgotten. I guess the ghost army has to come from somewhere, right 😅

Your achilles problem may be due to a slight change in how you are walking. Have you got Morton's neuroma? A common problem with keen walkers and runners. It is fixable!
