40:00 So close, but no. Blood Moon is important, but the celebration was a bit premature.

50:36 Thank you for noticing that the AI actually does make some high IQ plays sometimes! I think I saw this same branch of the code execute today when I Strip Mined a Mishra's Factory, and in response the computer made it into an Assembly-Worker so they could gain a life with Soul Net.

In the red castle I would suggest destroying the Power Surge first and foremost, that way you can just play the game without losing passively. I'd rather get smacked by a Shivan than bleed out slowly to an enchantment. The game goes in wave patterns with opening hands. You'll go game after game getting mana screwed, or mana flooded. And then you'll go through a wave of actually getting playable hands. But it's just insufferable getting no lands four or five games in a row.

BTW, Goblin Rock Sled does not have mountainwalk, it has trample.
@TimmytheSorcerer11 ай бұрын
Yes, but it can only attack if the opponent has mountains, that's where my confusion came from. I think it should have mountainwalk too, I mean a sliding sled full of goblins is unstoppable!

12:54 The specific bug is that the ante you win from assaulting captured cities goes into your deck until the next time you go to into the deck edit screen. Do you need to recapture the red wizard's city if you're about to defeat the wizard? Will he still own it once his castle goes down?
@TimmytheSorcerer11 ай бұрын
Cool, I didn’t know that. 🙌

As I remember, if you defeat any wizard, all cities he owned will recapture automatically

Those land floods and droughts can be pretty severe in Shandalar. Maybe it is a problem of the implementation of the random number generator. But you got pretty far nevertheless.

Reminds me of my decks irl. When I test them at the Kitchen table it all works like a charm, when I play them at a tournament 🫣

1:02:04 Your attitude of "don't quit because there's a 0.001% chance of her failing" is really borne out by her decision to play Winds of Change, which could have given you a BEB for the Power Surge. 56:42 Chumping with Will-o'-the-Wisp to save 2 life gets more and more questionable when the opponent has 35 life so the game is guaranteed to go long. That Willow could have been blocking Shivan Dragon every turn *and* helping you tap a land for Power Surge. At 57:02 you Control Magic the Drake because you have no Willow to block it, over a Dragon Engine that gets better and better in the long game (large enough to kill a Craw Wurm) and also helps you avoid Power Surge. By your next turn you were able to play a Hippie or control Dragon Whelp and the Fire Drake threat was over. I still don't think it's a winnable game, though. You need to side out the Drain Life for Terror or Paralyze to survive the early onslaught, or maybe Power Leak to hobble them with their own Power Surge.
