Character: Discipline. 'Toughest' coaches look out for their players, team

Coaches sometimes are seen as hard-nosed, maybe even mean. But even if these are their actions on the outside, inside they are looking out for their players and their team. Two of best and most DISCIPLINED coaches in NFL history are Vince Lombardi and Paul Brown - both who impacted the game by the way they coached, building relationships with their players not only to make them great football players, but great men as well.
Helping to fulfill its mission to promote the values taught through playing the game of football, the Pro Football Hall of Fame opened an exhibit titled, simply, “Character,” in 2025.
