Thank you soo much! We had the option to learn Toon Boom in school but our teacher wanted us to learn by ourselves. I've been trying to learn cause I didn't like our old animation software, but I've been really enjoying this one and you've helped me so so much.

I don't suppose anyone here would know a good fix, but I'm making a rig right now for school and whenever I try to move my deformers on my 3/4 view, it changes it on my front view. This series has been such a fantastic help and super informative!
@DrawnSean
@DrawnSean 8 ай бұрын
Could be because you didn't key frame the deformer on the previous frames after you made it. Collapse everything to the master peg, F6 everything then try again.

Hi Drawn, need your help. I am trying to create a turnaround for my rig. When i make change in any frame for matching the quater view, the shape of all the frames (previous and next) changes automatically. I am stuck in it. Please help.

i might have missed a step again. when u press "R", it resets pegs to their original position. when i am making the second angle of the turnaround, what do i need to do to make it so when I press "R", the drawings move back to their NEW origin? for me, they continue reverting to the front angle when i press R...
@DrawnSean
@DrawnSean 7 ай бұрын
There's no way around it. It will always jump back to the postion you made it at in the front angle. You just have to manually move it for the other angles. It's still useful for posing in animation though, because if its bent and you've deformed it and maybe changed the hand position it will still be useful to reset the children of the master arm peg. If you did reset the master though you'd only have to pop it forward to where you need it. Still saves time.

Collapse the master peg and press F6 on it so a key frame is applied to everything. Do that for each angle.

The mouth substitution looks off in the side view/angle...how do fix it...if i move it individually(teeth, tongue) it affects the position of the other view/angle...thanks in advance
@DrawnSean
@DrawnSean Жыл бұрын
It's hard to know without seeing but make sure you're using the transform tool only and not the select tool (black cursor) and you're only moving the peg. And move the mouth parent peg for each angle.

whenever I add to the overlay layer trying to add the hip line like you were doing at 11:58. it distorts the line. I do have a character fully turned around and now I'm trying to go through and add the overlay lines for each body part as the last thing before I move onto the next step. But it seems to keep distorting the line. So should I add them as I go instead of after everything is turned around? Thanks. Also excited for the next part I think just constraints and master controllers left!
@DrawnSean
@DrawnSean 2 жыл бұрын
If the line is distorted when you add it, it's probably the envelope deformer. Try resetting it.

Hi there, I have a bit of an issue which is that since I am keyframing each angle of my rig, when I use the rig in different angles I no longer am able to "reset" my keyframes with F7 while animating the body parts, as they will revert to the first angle I ever did which was my basis for keyframing all the other angles. Is there not fix for this other than copy pasting the position of the elements from the turn around keyframes of the rig? Hope my question was clear.
@DrawnSean
@DrawnSean Ай бұрын
When you reset a body part, you're correct it will reset to the position you created it at from the front view. So if you're animating the rig in it's quarter position for example and you reset the master arm peg, it will move it to where it was in the front view. You can still animate the child pegs okay though (lower arm and hand etc.) and they will be okay. You can solve this easily enough though by just copy and pasting a previous keyframe/pose where it was in the right position and if you have master controllers set up you can assign your TA angles to a slider. It's 'R' to reset, not F7 but I think you meant that.
