I still never understand why they did these animations for pre awakened units when a good amount of players won’t see them.

I guess that the moment when Dokkan released not long, the awaken coin event was too hard. So the changing animation made excitement to player. You have to know that not everyone can beat that stage for easy.

@@DiWong-v3texcept almost none of these aside STR gogeta were 2016 dfe. DFE took a slight dip in challenge by the time the 120% meta rolled around due to strength of our units. And by the time category leads dfe came out, dfe event were no longer any challenge. Sure some may still catch you on release if unlucky (like Teq VB, Agl 13..etc)

What they did with zarbon I'll never understand, the only logical possibility I can think of is that somewhere along the development of the unit they were supposed to be an LR that used that pre awakened animation somewhere in the final animation, they discarded that whole idea and made a shitty new animation for the new unit, but it's still kinda weird

I’ve always had a theory for most of these, perhaps a lot of these animations were the first ones intended for the unit, and the developers weren’t satisfied so they changed them into the final ones we have for the awakened unit.
