Im 30 years old, and I have to deal with this shitty condition and never has there been any word about the effects it has on your mental well being. I cope with the fysical part okay, but because of the way I walk the mental burden on me, is what makes this disease even more dreadfull. Im tearing up writing this. I wish this disease to be cured one day, so people dont have to silently suffer. 😔

Bro ur not alone I have it and I’m 13, I used to play hockey it was my favourite thing in the world. But now I can’t. All we can do is pray that a cure comes soon

I just turned 31yrs old and had CMT since I was cam remember. I’ve never had anyone to relate to or open up to forever, feeling like a caged bird in my own body was how I would describe it. If no one gets you I do and finding God has helped me through the difficulties of CMT.

I feel your pain, I’m 45 now it’s unbelievable how much my body has changed since I was 30 just be prepared do all you can now

@@prestonpernell5266 hey preston, thanks for the heads up, im noticing some changes in my body, due to corona and I am working to keep my body mobile for as long as I can. I wonder do you have cmt type 1 or type 2. I must say, I am coping well mentally lately, its almost like I accepted it, and that I can be sad about it. Sad and feeling low is part of life, i just needed to embrace it. Some things like being superconfident, isnt for me, I guess. There are a lot of positives aswell in life aswell, so I try to focus on that. For now I wish you the best and although its going to be difficult, keep your head up. ❤🤙

South African living with CMT in China. My biggest fear is that it passes on to my lovely baby daughter. My biggest dedication is to make her life good despite it.

I’m 57 and managed it with 5 day a week cardio and weight lifting now it’s caught up to me and feel like throwing in the towel.I guess it finally beat me my life is a lot of suffering

I have cmt too, I am 32.. when I was younger I used to be an athlete, ran fast, played sports.. good at dancing.. had to give it all up Had to quit football in highschool because I kept spraining my legs and my ankles became so weak I couldnt even put pressure on it. I had to quit and everyone though I was weak and a quitter and laughed i complained about my feet hurt. even if it just hurt i wouldve played through it.. but the weakness and lack of strength to do football moves without falling or getting knocked over made me quit
