I just did one of those about a week ago, it wasn't pulled away as bad as the one in your video. Quick tip, you can use a clean paint stir stick or a piece of 1x2 to push against the material as you set it in place, it helps to keep even pressure on the material to keep it straight. And not needed now but when it's cool, you can warm up aerosol cans and I'd imagine the Preval spray head by putting them in some hot water for a few minutes, then they will spray much more evenly. DON"T do what a friend of mine did, he tried to warm up a spray can with his heat gun, it blew up, he's fortunate that he didn't get hurt badly. Thanks for videos Rick, timely stuff, seems like a lot of Chrysler and Dodge cars have door and console delamination issues and there are a LOT of them out there.

That first WTF console image you showed and said you'd never seen one like that is exactly what our 2015 Charger looks like now. Other than that, the interior is pristine. That car doesn't look 9 years old. 😅

Why not remove the panel to make this repair? It’s held on with five or six clips. That way you don’t have to mess with the shifter bezel and would make glueing and stapling much easier.

I pull those off all the time. Trick is horizonal pull fast with some muscle. The clips won't break.

Great video. That is a great heat gun. In Canada it’s really cold and damp and so the more airflow the better. Steinel makes a great one but it’s really expensive and I lose and break the.m too often 😮😢. What brand is that one ? Do you like it ?

It's no longer available. It's an old gun. I use it only for reforming parts or shrinking vinyl on a reupholster job. Good for bending plexiglass too. You might search for a 1600 watt industrial heat gun. It would likely be overwhelming for repairs.
