Very skilled in pass protection and his run blocking is almost equally as impressive for a man with his height. Tremendous pick. I honestly think they picked up a future Hall of Famer in Joe Alt. He reminds me a lot of Joe Thomas. There is PLENTY of WR talent left in this draft to get help on the outside.

Pretty sure they've asked Justin before the Draft..What do you want more, protection, or a pass catcher and his answer was something like " If i have a little more time in the pocket, i'll find an open receiver.. I don't care whether it's Palmer,Johnston,Davis or someone they draft on day 2, or 3.. If you have a gifted QB,he'll throw you open..Also the 2024 class is loaded with good,not great WR's,but only 5-6 top o-linemen...BTW..Alt is just 21 years old !

I know we all wanted the sexy TOP WR, but think about this. Last two seasons, Herbert has been injured and has pretty much derailed our seasons. If Herbert is injured, it doesnt matter which WR is out there, we have no one to pass them the ball. So protecting Herbert, and beefing up the OL to allow better Run game to be established, is a critical need. Round 2 is definitely a great place for a WR. AD Mitchell, Mcconkey, Wilson, Coleman, Franklin, all still available. Theres still great WR depth there. Just need to nab one in R2 (assuming they dont go CB or Center 😅)
