I LOVE Charles Bronson! But my heart goes out to his first wife; the fact she was good enough to support Charlie during his days as a struggling actor really says a lot about her character. Women like that are rare (especially these days!)

I'm also 47 & I've been a fan since I was a child. My grandfather & Bronson shared military barracks, in the U.K., back in WW2. They weren't friends, but they knew each other & would say hello. My grandpa said "Chuck was always working out/lifting weights". I grew up watching his movies (often with my grandpa) back in the 1970s-80s. In the 1990s my GF & I would rent Bronson movies (from Blockbuster) & get a pizza, once per month. I called it "Bronsonfest". I used to have nearly all of Bronson's movies on VHS, but they're gone now. (& I no longer have a VCR) I do have quite a few of his movies on my PC. (mp4, avi, etc) My favorite Bronson movies are Hard Times, Death Wish, Death Hunt, The Evil That Men Do, Chato's Land, the White Buffalo, Red Sun, The Stone Killer....and more.

During WW2 my grandfather was in the same military barracks as Bronson. (while they were stationed in the U.K., before D-Day) They weren't friends, but they knew each other & would often say hello. 'Hi, Chuck, hi Sam". My grandfather said "Chuck was always working out/lifting weights". Bronson's movies make me think of my grandfather. (he passed back in 2001) I grew up watching his movies with my grandpa & uncles. Back in the early 1990s Blockbuster Video had a section for Charles Bronson. (as well as Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, etc) Once each month my GF & I would rent some Bronson movies & get a pizza. I called it "Bronsonfest". I used to have most of his movies on VHS, but they're all gone now. (& I no longer have a VCR) I do have quite a few in avi, mp4, and mvv format. Bronson has always been one of my favorite actors, partly because of the family connection & the nostalgia, but also because he made great movies. (& II love movies from the 1960s-70s) He had a strong screen presence.

Mr. Skinner. Your dedication to document the lives of these actors as they lived has been a joy to watch. Without your commitment to research and to share these videos we would never had known the struggles and victory of their lives. I sincerely hope someday someone will present a document on your life as well. You deserve to be remembered as a friend of Hollywood's greatest actors. God bless you real good my friend.

@@terencedenman702 I enjoy the commentary but ,yes, I’ve heard several inaccuracies in them. Minor points I guess, but still. In Death Wish for example, it was his daughter’s rape and his wife’s murder that he sought to avenge.

Damn good movies and after we'd get home I'd run to the store and pick up a couple of brews for him and we'd chill on the couch and watch channel 41 while mom and grammy cooked up some good food. KZbin would be a much more wonderful site if it had more such phenomenal videos as this one. And I am very stunned that this video has accumulated 1k of dislikes and I guess some people just hate everything. I have subscribed to this channel and liked this video. This was WELL-DONE! Thank you! There was a TV show called "Then Came Bronson." (It was only related to him by the name.) Anyway, I had rescued dogs for decades, and I was "slowing down" with that, since groups were forming and doing a good job with it. Then on a hot 100 degree August day in California, I had to stop at Walgreens in town on my way home from work. Sitting at the entrance of the store with its automatic doors was an about 3-month-old (what looked to be) Great Dane/German shepherd mix puppy. I watched him as people went in and out of the store. He was trying to find someone, who would be his friend and take him home. He had remembered what someone had taught him, and he was using this trick (sit and shake hands) over and over again, hoping that someone would like it, like him, and take him home. He even thought that a mother and a little boy liked him, and he started to follow them, until the mother shooed him away. He went back to the door to try again. I, finally, went back in the store, and asked the cashier to call out on the loudspeaker to see if the puppy belonged to anyone. No one came forward to claim him. I went back outside, and scooped him up and took him home. On my drive home, I said to myself (who was trying to "slow down" on the dog rescue), "And THEN came 'Bronson'." The name stuck, and Bronson lived for 15 years (2000-2015). He never forgot how to sit and shake hands. He KNEW on that hot August day, that someone would like his trick, and take him home with them. I did. (I just wanted to share.)

In the mid-to late ‘70, I was a waitress in a Central Valley town, in California. Working the graveyard shift, I also got breakfast. This brand new black Corvette pulled up out front. The gentleman came in, sat at the counter & ordered breakfast(don’t remember what it was). If it wasn’t Mr. Bronson, it was his EXACT double. Back then, comparatively, food wasn’t much. He was quiet. I let him have his space. He paid his bill & left. I was cleaning up his setting and under the plate he had left me a $5 tip! Back then, that was A LOT. Will never forget that. ❤️
