All Lannister jokes aside, that was pretty sweet of her to give him the picture of his dad. Was she the dad's granddaughter or grand-niece...? They mentioned something about what you would call their relationship in an easy, joking sort of manner which is why I was leaning towards the grand-niece bit bc with cousins shit can get tricky when you start adding up the "once removed" & "twice removed" of it all. Think it's pretty cool he found out about his father in that manuscript! 😊

She is the grandaughter of Charles half sister
@CoRLex-jh5vx3 жыл бұрын
Cousins are actually pretty easy to work out. Count the grands and greats back to the common ancestor, then add a removal for however many generations difference there is. Your third cousin twice removed is a good example. Twice removed is two generations back or forward, in this case we'll say back, so your grandparents third cousin. Three = two greats and a grand, so they share a great-great-grandparent in common.

Anyway, the window's open cos it's so hot & I'm looking outside into the neighbour's garden (huuuuge) and there's some guy walking around who catches me staring. Looks sort of old. "Morning!" He shouts, waving at me. I wave back looking like the cretin that I am. It hits me 'Holy shit that's Charles Dance!'
