Antoinette Georgy - from Australia - 14/6/2021 Excellent preacher I, Praise God for him He is inspired by God and his words anointed by the Holy Spirit. I pray that God almighty to give us in these difficult days another C.H.Spurgeon; a preacher full of Grace like him, for our children and for the future generations yet to come - He teaches me a lot, and also I learned how to pray. All his sermons are teachable and beneficial for me. “All Glory be to God”. Isaiah 55:11- 13 N KJV - So Shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall note return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon (19 June 1834 - 31 January 1892) was an English Particular Baptist preacher. Spurgeon remains highly influential among Christians of various denominations, among whom he is known as the "Prince of Preachers". He was a strong figure in the Reformed Baptist tradition, defending the Church in agreement with the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith understanding, and opposing the liberal and pragmatic theological tendencies in the Church of his day. He also famously denied being a Protestant, and held to the view of Baptist Successionism. Spurgeon was the pastor of the congregation of the New Park Street Chapel (later the Metropolitan Tabernacle) in London for 38 years. He was part of several controversies with the Baptist Union of Great Britain and later he left the denomination over doctrinal convictions. In 1867, he started a charity organisation which is now called Spurgeon's and works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him posthumously. Spurgeon was a great author of many types of works including sermons, one autobiography, commentaries, books on prayer, devotionals, magazines, poetry, hymns, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Spurgeon produced powerful sermons of penetrating thought and precise exposition. His oratory skills held his listeners spellbound in the Metropolitan Tabernacle and many Christians hold his writings in exceptionally high regard among devotional literature.

I’ve learned many things from hearing his sermons Especially in the area of predestined and select doctrines He’s the only preacher that has hit the nail on the head He is the only preacher that I have heard explain that there are two callings : universal and select and pulls it off maintaining the harmony among predestined , the elect and free will They do not contradict each other Spurgeon has the best explanation thus far There’s nothing he can teach me at this point but his delivery of messages that I already have a full understanding of for some devine reason become more convincing and alive as I hear them There is a special anointing in his sermons Many of his sermons are about things I already know However , when I listen to him , it renews my mind as I mediate on the word Because at the end of the day ; Spurgeon preaches solo scriptura Sound doctrine with a devine presence that has the power of transforming even the most hardened heart He truly was predestined because God can only change a heart or a true spirit filled man of God that serves as an instrument of the Holy Spirit Many are called but few are chosen I do not make an idol of any man but I truly believe he was a genuine man of God

Amazing!! Thanks be to God! What a faithful servant Charles was!!…& D.L. Moody was one of his students?!! Powerful stuff! Humility is what the Lord is looking for in His powerful men of God. Weakness juxtaposed with strength. 2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for you.” We love you Lord!

notreconstructed Lol, the South burnt Surgeon's sermons and books. They made his books illegal in some places of the South. All because of his stance against slavery. So some much about the South wasn't motivated by slavery in what they did.
