Perhaps Charles Vane is the one who inspired the vision of pirates being revolutionaries. Conservative rebels, but rebels still. Clearly better than the prospecting Flying Gang. Oh and, if only he had BlackBeard's support, not only would the latter survive, but also we could have seen the rise of a potential Silver Age of Piracy.

I feel like most of the Pirates would be steeped in lore and myths about themselves. Most would have probably done very very nasty things to show how crazy they where and spread those tails. It sure is unfortunate that they still didn't give a shit about the slaves. If it was me i definitely would have appreciated having more help or set them free. It is so sad the way the world treats one another the biggest thing about being on a ship to me and running the 🏴☠️ would be how everyone is equal !

Yes, YES! Longer videos please!! But only if they are informationally dense. There is nothing worse that long KZbin videos that are bloated with padding. But you already said it: the videos should be as long as they need to be. BTW it was a pleasure to hear Charles Vane fleshed out so properly here. His bullshit depiction on Black Sails was one of the main reasons I stopped watching that series full of impossibly pretty people and lowbrow writing.

@@GoldandGunpowder the pop up cards were/are actually great little factoids of high interest. The problem is this : How are we supposed to read this trivia while you are still narrating the story !? It makes no sense. We either have to pause the video or rewind it. If only the video had some sort of lull points then it would be proper to insert the pop ups, but idk how or where you would add such lull points or if they would detract from the video !! ( I guess it could be done the way tv does it by inserting them after or before commercials & then resuming the story ! )
